The moment Roy opened his eyes, his nose was filled with the sweet scent of his beautiful mate. He felt a weight on his chest and around his waist, but didn’t bother moving so as not to wake her up. He gently stroked her hair, letting her strawberry scent please him.
“Rather than thank you for saving my life, I yelled at you. I’m… I'm sorry.” Kimberly murmured, making Roy stop what he was doing.
How didn’t he notice that she was already awake? That wasn’t even what surprised him. The fact that Kimberly was apologizing was what shocked him. To say he was speechless was an understatement, he was stunned.
