Laura Evans, the only daughter and heir of a late wealthy businessman, Mr Evans, had a perfect life. She inherited a multi-million dollar company from her late father, which is currently ran by her mother and owns her own interior decorating company she runs jointly with her fiancé, Scott Cameron's furnishing company he also inherited from his late father.

The Ex

 Laura was on her bed trying to sleep but she couldn’t because she was restless. She couldn’t understand why Scott didn’t pick her call. She knew it was really late when she had called but she was certain Scott wasn’t asleep at that hour because he normally stayed up late. She hoped deep down that something wasn’t wrong with him, but what she couldn’t figure out was why he hadn’t called her back. He should’ve seen her missed calls, she thought to herself. 


She was trying really hard to sleep when she heard her phone ring. She jumped from her bed excitedly, thinking that maybe Scott had called back. She hurriedly picked the call without checking the caller ID. 


“Hello baby, are you okay?” she asked. 


She heard Kevin’s voice to her disappointment. 


She composed herself in order for Kevin not to notice the disappointment in her voice.
