“—shit!” Yoshiro lost his footing and almost slipped into the river. If it wasn’t for Kazuki’s hand holding him up, he would have fallen. How lame. It wasn’t even a huge river with a strong flow. It was just a small one; the current slow and its’ waters barely reaching his knees yet he slipped. He slipped, for goodness’s sake.
“Are you okay?” He heard the man say and that was when he noticed Kazuki’s fingers were tangled up with his. He twitched. His heart skipped a beat. He wondered if that was just his body’s usual response each time he sees an enemy…or if it was the other type of rush. That thought made him blush.
He withdrew his hand from Kazuki’s hold and straightened his back, “I’m good. Thanks.”
