Kazuki felt alarmed the moment something heavy crashed on him. He quickly reached for his sword and got up, only to see some dead birds on his lap. He held his forehead and massaged it harshly. How disgusting. From the engawa, he could see Yoshiro’s back. The man sat down, trying to suppress his laughter.
He groaned, “Could you normally greet people?”
Yoshiro slightly turned his head and gave a catty smile, “We aren’t normal people, Kazuki. And that is for our breakfast.”
Kazuki frowned, “Are you asking me to cook---“
“On normal breakfasts, I would have wanted some vegetables with that but I lack knowledge of such things. I could have easily mistaken the green poisons in this forest as vegetables.” He took off the arrow sleeve and placed it by his side. His back was the first thing Kazuki saw despite that agreement they had.
