"Alpha you have a meeting at lunch, at Roxy Family Restaurant." said Danny, my Beta, my personal assistant in my company and of course my best friend also. 


"Alright, thank you. But why is it in family restaurant anyway?" It was rare to hold the company meeting on family restaurant. 


"I'm sorry but I have no idea. The CEO you'll meet is the one who set up the meeting place." He shrugged his shoulder. 


"Enjoy your meeting!" He winked at me. Ridiculous. Okay, I already smelled something fishy here. 


As soon as Danny left, I sighed at myself. I was turning 28 years old today, but had not found my mate yet. It was really frustrating. 


My pack was missing their Luna for years. But I had no idea where she was. 


It was very rare case that an Alpha was leading wolfpack without a Luna for almost fucking ten years. My Alpha friends from other packs had found their mate at a young age. The luckiest Alpha, Arthur, found his mate at eighteen years old, when his wolf first appeared. And some of my Alpha friends found their mate at 21-22 years old while some of them found their mate at the very last age at 25-26 years old. And now I was turning 28 years old without a mate. 


I didn't know what Moon Goddess had plan for me. Maybe, she didn't pair me with anyone. But people said it was impossible, Moon Goddess had always created werewolves with their other halves. 


Or maybe, my mate had already died before meeting me. I hate the idea, but there was a chance for it. If it was the case, then I didn't have a second chance mate that I had not found her yet. Yes, I knew that second chance mate was very rare. But.. how cruel Moon Goddess to be, letting an Alpha lived without his Luna. I growled at that thought. 


I knew I was being popular with the 'The Single Alpha' or 'The Unmated Alpha' title on supranatural world especially werewolf world. That was why I spent this past year mostly in my company rather than pack house. I was ashamed of myself, I couldn't face my pack members. And hell, today was my birthday. I couldn't show up today. I couldn't disappoint them more. 


A loud knock on my door office distracted me from my wool gathering. It was my Beta again. 


"Uhm.. I forgot to inform you, that you should attend your birthday party held by pack members tonight at pack house" 


"I'm sorry I can't. And you know why." 


Remembered of my thought, I felt useless now for my pack members now. 


"Is it mate thing? Uh come on man! We don't really mind that we don't have our Luna. We only need you as our Alpha." 


"What?! I'm being honest!" He rolled his eyes. 


Before I could argue Danny more, there was a phone call came on Danny's cellphone. He looked onto the phone and grinned at me then picked up the phone. What's up with him? 


"Yes, sure. We will be on our way now. Thank you for informing us." He closed the call. 


"It is the personal assistant of the CEO you'll be meeting this noon. She is informing us that her boss is on her way to the restaurant." He said. 


"Isn't the meeting supposed to be at lunch, is it? It's only 11 a.m. now." 


"I don't know." He simply answered my confusion.
