Ivy looked at Edward's office again before she sighed. Because she is not used to such a small office. A few minutes later Ivy got up to go out. Her eyes were looking for Edward but since there was no one left she couldn't ask where he was so she did nothing but pick up her phone and call him directly.
"Where are you?" she asked.
"Here at the parking lot!" Edward answered.
"Wait for me there!" Ivy said and drop the call.
As she walked to the elevator she couldn't help but look around. The company has really changed a lot in the last two years. Starting tomorrow, she has a lot to do and she doesn't know how long it will take to restore the company's former glory.
When Ivy arrived at the parking lot she saw Edward leaning on his car while smoking but when he saw Ivy he immediately threw it and stepped on it to kill its flame.
"Let's go?" Edward asked as he opened the door of the car so that Ivy could enter.
Ivy was silent as she looked out the window. Wondering what to do in the situation she entered when Edward suddenly spoke.
"Are you going to put him in jail?" Edward didn't say John's name but Ivy knew he was the one he was referring to.
"You, what do you think we should put him in jail?" Ivy asked Edward instead of answering his question.
Suddenly Edward holds the steering wheel with a tight grip as he wanted to break it obviously he still angry because of John's betrayal of him.
"He really should rot in jail. I considered him a father but this is what he did to me." Edward said angrily.
"He also considers you as his child but his own blood related is still heavier than you which is his daughter." Ivy patiently explained because she knew that if it wasn't his daughter who was in danger, he wouldn't betray Edward. The only mistake was that he didn't trust Edward completely about this matter and he choose to betray him. Ivy couldn't blame John because Edward was really that weak.
So Ivy's ultimate goal now is to strengthen Edward so that he can learn to stand on his own two feet to protect the people around him and so that she can leave without worrying about the people she will leave behind in this country.
Arriving home, Ivy immediately went straight to the study room because apart from Edward's company, she also had obligations to the company she left in County A.
"How are you?" Peter asked as the video calls are connected.
"I'm fine, How's is the status of our software?" Ivy asked directly and avoid the unnecessary topic.
"Won't you even greet me first?" Peter asked as if sulking.
"I don't have time for useless things Peter so please give me an update!" Ivy replied angrily.
"Okay fine!" Peter replied while showing Ivy the progress of the software he was developing.
Ivy quickly studied what Peter was playing on the screen. "stop!" she shouted. So peter quickly stopped on the slide Ivy told him to stop.
"You lack a comma between progress and development." as criticized by Ivy.
"Ivy it's only lack of comma!" Peter complained.
"It's just a comma but you failed to put," Ivy replied rudely.
Peter just kept quiet while editing his presentation. Ivy is so perfect when it comes to work that even with a simple lack of comma she will notice it.
A few hours later, Ivy was satisfied with Peter's work.
"Send me the copy of the software so we can test it here, once okay we will release it on the market!"
"Where are you going to use it? "Peter asked.
"In Edward's company. He now lacks manpower so that's very useful here." Ivy replied as she arranged the scattered papers in front of her.
"When are you coming back?"
"I will stay here in the meantime, I have a lot of things to do!"
"It's about Grandpa or it's about Edward?" Ivy couldn't answer Peter's question because even she was confused as to why she was trying to fix the company and helped Edward in his situation.
"Let's just talk again tomorrow." Ivy just said while dropping the call. Then she put her laptop in the bag with the papers because she needed to bring it for entering the office tomorrow.
After that, she looked at the watch that is placed above the door, it was already ten in the evening so she thought of taking a bath first before going down to find food that can fill her stomach.
When she entered the room, Edward was not there so she took a quick shower after she was done Edward was still nowhere to be found so she went downstairs and she saw him in the minibar drinking his wine.
"Did you eat already?" Ivy asked when she gets close to him.
"Not yet!" Edward reply as he drinks his wine on his glass.
"You haven't eaten yet but you're drinking already!" Ivy said with full of annoyance.
"I'm still upset!" Edward replied as he pulled Ivy closer to him. He hugged her tightly as he placed his chin on Ivy's shoulder. He was like a child waiting to be comforted by Ivy.
"Stop acting like a child when you are already a full-grown man!" Ivy complained as she pushed Edward's face away and slipped out of his embrace.
"Stand there and move faster because I'm hungry, so hurry up!" Ivy shouted again when she looked at Edward who is not moving.
"I'm already getting up!" Edward replied with a smile as he closed the bottle of wine that he hadn't finished. After that, he immediately followed Ivy to the table where Lydia was preparing dinner for them. He pulled out a chair for Ivy before sitting down next to it.
They eat their meal quietly, After that Ivy immediately went upstairs to rest because there is a lot of things to do in the office tomorrow but Edward immediately followed and immediately wrapped his hand around her waist.
