The ability gave him the ability to not transform but also increase each of his statuses almost infinitely depending on what type of moon it is.
they were 8 different types of the moon but he referred to each of his insane status increasing ability as one name which was howl of the moon.
The name represents a call for help from the moon and if the moon hears the pleading of the user it gives them the ability to increase any status ability depending on the moon cycle.
New moon: double the strength of the user endlessly every 5 minutes till dawn.
waxing crescent moon: double the vitality of the user endlessly every 5 minutes till dawn.

And when dawn comes the strengthened status returns to its original default.
