The three days in the cruise ship on the open ocean passed by fast. 


Aisling did not focus her attention on the pieces sold. Instead, her mind was preoccupied with the thoughts of another life, a life forgotten. She was obsessed constantly about her disconnection from reality and the fate of her real self.


However, she made time to interact with Rex. Perhaps, she hoped to understand the things she had forgotten and maybe, shake some memories loose. Or maybe, she just wanted to have a few moments of peace. 


When she was in his presence, she did not think too much about the current state of her life. She felt a little calmer and collected despite the uncertainties. But this made her more determined to break free from the bonds of the illusionary life. 


As for Bekezela Sikobi, he did not appear before Aisling again until after the final day of the auction.
