Heir to the Throne

And she screamed. 

At least, she thought she did. 

She could not hear sounds, so she might not have gotten a sound out. 

She could not understand the nothingness of her current environment. 

Even the feeling of gravity was not present. She did not know if she was suspended in the air. Or perhaps, she was floating in a pool. There was no way to tell. 

She had heard of sensory deprivation practices, but she had never known that the experience could be harrowing. Of course, the type of sensory deprivation used in the therapy only reduced stimuli as opposed to eliminating all sensations. 

As for her, she might as well have been a ghost.

Her heart rate elevated, and she felt breathless. Moreover, she felt sick to her stomach. She started to experience hyperventilation due to panic, and her consciousness blurred due to the uncomfortable conditions. 

Within a few moments, she fainted.
