Not the Perfect Her

Abaddon realised that Aisling was not in the right condition after he spoke up. She was experiencing laboured breaths, almost like she was drowning. Moreover, she looked like a caged animal, wanting to escape but feeling like she was bound without chains.

She felt weak even though she knew she was not helpless. She had enough power to take control of her life. But at that moment, she forgot as she was consumed by strange light-headedness. She almost fell to the ground as her body became weak.

Abaddon pulled her into his arms before she could keel over and tried to soothe her with his warmth and. However, she seemed to have lost her awareness and could not recognise anything. She fought back his hold and touch, her fists hitting him on the chest.

"No, no, no, no," She chanted in a low voice while lost in her mind.
