The Letter

Abaddon looked at the little scroll in his hand with a calm expression. Aisling was beside him as the two of them rested on a bench in the guest courtyard, below an umbrella tree. She was a little anxious to know the contents of the scroll.

She did not want anything to happen to Miraven.

Her natural attitude was calm because she did not think that death was the true end. As a banshee, she always embraced the circle of life. However, it would be better if Miraven was alive because she was a vibrant and giving person.

She was restless on her seat as Abaddon unfurled the missive.

Her eyes could not help peeping at the words. Unfortunately, the words were in an elegant elvish script, and she could not make sense of it. Her face fell like a puppy with drooping years. Rex noticed her behaviour and put his hand on her head.

He patted the soft hair in comfort before looking back on the script.
