Chapter 32 : Secret

Zhou ha entered through the gate of the Zhou's house only to find the place eerily quiet.

The house was deserted.

Zhou ha looked around only to find her mother in the kitchen cooking breakfast all alone .

"Good morning ma ! "

Seeing her married daughter after so long , Lui zan smiled brightly at her .

"Zhou ha ! What are you doing here ? Are the li's treating you well ? "

Faced with her mother concern , Zhou ha felt warm inside .

Her mother is the best ah .

Zhou ha reassured her mother :" ma don't worry, the Li's treat me very well !

They feed meat every day and don't let me do any chores at all nor do they urge me to work in the field "

Lui zan smiled with mirth in her eyes before asking slowly :" Good but how does that fool treat you ? "

Zhou ha frowned when her mother called li bo fool but remembered her promise to him to not expose his secret .

"Li bo is very good to me mom , he is very gentle and sweet ! He is very different from the rumors !! "

"But he is still a fool , zhou ha " said Lui zan effortlessly not taking zhou ha words to heart .

Zhou ha ignored her mother's hurtful words and started talking about what she came here for in a small voice .

"Mom , tell me , are you behind what happened to zhou Chen ? "

Lui zan raised her eyebrows in surprise.

She might not be surprised when that whore Su jia knew but her stupid daughter knowing is different.

Her daughter is not the smartest person there is .

Well she is not as cunning or ruthless.

She is simple minded too .

However, she was once like that too .

Naive and simple.

Till they took him away from her .

Something inside of her broke .

Since that day everything good that ever existed inside of her perished and only evil was left .

Lui zan closed her eyes tightly to hide the surge of emotions in them from her daughter .

It's all in the past now .

He is in a good place now .

And she needs to take good care of their daughter till the day they are fated to meet .

Lui zan opened her eyes and nodded at her daughter whose eyes widened in fear before she clutched her hand in anxiety.

"Mom!! How can you do that ? What if the police found out and arrested you or what if aunt or milk knew ?? "

Lui zan sighed before she pushed her daughter away .

She truly hated iron for not becoming steel .

"Zhou ha , calm down. No one will know because there is no evidence left for them to find anything "

Zhou ha sighed in relief but couldn't help feeling guilty.

Zhou Chen is But a six year old and would turn seven after the new year .

How can she survive in the outside world.

Seeing her daughter face displaying her emotions for everyone to see , Lui zan had to lie to her daughter before she says anything.

"Also , I made sure she is well taked care of . I heard that a rich couple in town wanted to adopt a daughter so I pulled some strings and had zhou Chen sent there "

Hearing her mother's words , zhou ha calmed down and couldn't help but believe her .

Her mother can't be that viscous .

It's her niece too .

hah,How naive thought Lui zan with a small smile on her face .

While all of these is happening with the Zhou's, Lin Lin spent her day differently away from their drama and schemes.

She woke up at 5 o'clock, prepared the breakfast, washed up and went out to the village entrance.

However, to her surprise she found zhang li waiting for her with his bicycle at the side .

"Good morning Lin Lin ! "Exclaimed zhang li .

"Good morning ? " said Lin Lin with a confused look .

"I heard from uncle that you are looking for a job so I thought I could accompany you and put a good word for you before the factory director. I hope you don't mind ? "Asked zhang li sheepishly.

Huang Lin didn't know wether to laugh or cry at this . How is she supposed to do her work if he came with her ? What will he do if he knew about her business? Will he help her ?

Wait , didn't he say he will always choose her ? Well I guess it's time to test that out .

If he answered wrong , she will make sure to break their engagement and move out from this village once for all .

Having made her mind , Lin Lin pulled zhang li with her to walk towards the town .

"Zhang li , I'm not looking for a job but doing business. I want you to listen to me very well and decide wether to follow me or not ! Don't lie or else ! "

Zhang li nodded when he heard what Lin Lin said knowing that whatever she's doing is very important and she trusted him enough to tell him about it .

After a quarter of an hour , Lin Lin finished talking about her plans and looked at zhang li who was looking at her with a mix of admiration and confusion.

"Lin Lin I admire your courage but where will you find food to sell ? "Asked zhang li .

Lin Lin smiled and did what she did to her uncle and aunt before .

She extended her hand , empty at first , smiled at zhang li then a big round red apples appeared out of thin air in her hands leaving zhang li dumbstruck.

He looked at the apple then at huang Lin who nodded at him encouragingly before he took the apple in his hands .

"Now you know my secret "said Lin Lin with a small smile .

He knew everything about her now .

Well except being reborn that is but she doesn't plan to tell him about it .

She accepted the fact that she is huang Lin now .The past her is no more and if she is taking over the past huang Lin then she needs to act and be her completely.

Zhang li recovered from his reverie and looked at his little fiancé seriously.

" Huang Lin , who else knows about this ?"Asked zhang li with a serious look on his handsome face .

Lin Lin smiled and said "only you , uncle and auntie "

Zhang li nodded and warned her "don't tell anyone else about this ! Do you understand?"

Lin Lin smiled softly and reassured him "Don't worry other than you ,I have enough other person I want to tell after this time "

The two smiled at each other as they looked softly at the other with a look full of warmth that two didn't know the actually had .
