A glowing emotion settled on Yoon-Yi's face, visible to anyone who had eyes to see. Sure enough, Byun-Ho saw it too and a scowl appeared on his face. As he suddenly realized what was happening, his eyes immediately turned to glare at Shin.

Byun-Ho was just about to open his mouth, when his father stopped him, shaking his head slightly. Being old and experienced helped Minister Min evaluate the situation rapidly. Based on the manner in which Kim Jong-Seo looked at Shin, Minister Min realized that if the general had to choose between Shin and Byun-Ho, he would most likely choose Shin.

It took the general a full minute to finally open his mouth. Slowly, as if he was considering his words carefully, he addressed his son.
