Chapter 38

It was already dark outside. The sun had long set by now and the sky had turned a dark indigo color.

Hyun and Jung-Hee didn't light any candles when they entered their room, relying only on the lights coming from outside the window to see each other.

In this way, the semi-darkness created a more intimate atmosphere, one in which the sounds were even more evident. Among the soft rustling of fabrics, soft gasps and pants could be heard, escaping from the couple at regular intervals. Their breaths were warm and moist, mingling with each other as if they were one.

Hyun placed Jung-Hee on the bed and pressed himself on top of her. Then he remained still, watching her with an intense gaze. In the dimly lit environment his eyes looked like two bright stars on the night canopy. Jung-Hee could see the intense emotions roiling inside them, bubbling and threatening to overflow at any moment.
