Chapter 65 - Bad omen and good intuition

Yu Yeong was steering his horse in front of Ji-U's. They were going at a fast pace, leaving small patches of trees in a blur of greenery. Then, all of a sudden, a flock of crows flew up in the night sky. Their loud caws echoed through the air sinisterly. The sounds drifted with the breeze, giving birth to the uncanny feeling that something was about to happen.

Yu Yeong stopped his horse at once. The poor animal was so startled that it immediately rose on its hind legs and neighed loudly in protest.

"What's going on?" Ji-U asked worriedly, getting closer.

"I'm going back." Yu Yeong said briskly. He steadied his horse and was ready to pull at the reins, when Ji-U's startled voice echoed from behind him.

"What?! Are you crazy? Yu Yeong, we've travelled a long way from Hanam. How the heck are you planning on going back?"

"Isn't it obvious? I'll ride back there." Yu Yeong threw impatiently, shooting Ji-U a look as if he were an idiot.
