Meanwhile, inside the carriage silence reigned. Both Jung-Hee and Jeong were too absorbed in their own thoughts to be able to speak. 

A few minutes later, Jung-Hee's voice was the first to break the stifling silence. 

"If they are taking us to the Magistrate's office, does that mean we will be arrested and trialed?" 

"No, that shouldn't be the case." 

"How can you be sure?" Jung-Hee asked, an obvious trace of panic laced inside her quiet voice.

"It's simple really. Just think about it. Who are you? And who am I? No matter how you think about it, we are not someone they can deal with in that crude way. They might imprison us, yes, but not for the purpose of bringing us to trial like we're some kind of insignificant criminals."

Jung-Hee listened quietly. She reluctantly admitted to herself that Jeong's reasoning did make sense.
