Chapter 106

All of a sudden, Byung-Ho started feeling very uncomfortable. He felt as though all of Jung-Hee's accusations were meant only for him to hear. And, in a way, they really were.

Byung-Ho himself knew what he had done in order to reach the place where he stood now. He was also aware of the things he was about to do in order to maintain that position. As a matter of fact, it wasn't a matter of whether he wanted to or not. It's not like he had a choice on the matter. He wanted to live the life of the privileged, and this was the only way to achieve that.

Gesturing towards Jeong, Byung-Ho opened his mouth and gave Jung-Hee his reply.

"He is fated to die whether I help him or not. Whether it will happen now, or later, his fate is already sealed. There is nothing we can do to change that fact. If that's the case, isn't it better for him to go like this instead of going back and ending up being tortured to death?"
