After the hunting event, King Sejo returned to his court in Hanyang. But before he did that, the King made sure to personally send Jeong to his new home in Gangwon Province.
Based on the King's orders, the young Prince was going to live in exile, together with his cousin. The former King Danjong had been staying in Yeongwol County ever since his abdication. The house he was offered was a short distance from Commander Yu's training camp near Wonju.
As a consequence, one of Commander Yu's tasks was to make sure the former King was watched closely. This was mainly for the purpose of stopping any possible uprisings to happen behind King Sejo's back.
Small skirmishes did take place from time to time, but neither one was big enough to actually put pressure on the King to mobilize the army.
