[BL] The Sun God's Downfall

[Mature Content + Ancient Greece is its own warning]



The God Apollo makes a wager with his sister Artemis, and tries to steal a kiss from his father's most prized possession.



Needless to say, things don't work out great for him.



Banished to the mortal realm, with all his memories wiped out, Apollo begins a new life as one of the slaves in the palace of the King of Sparta.



The King's beautiful son Hyacinth is desired by many, but doesn't seem interested in romance whatsoever.



Unbeknownst to them both, the Fates are at work, spooling the thread that will bind them in ways that neither gods nor humans will be able to separate.



But the love of a God is often all-consuming, and deadly for their mortal lovers.

So this is a retelling of the myth of Apollo and Hyacinth, and considering the nature of the original myth you can expect some drama.



Hyacinth flowers bloomed due to the mixing of Apollo's tears with Hyacinth's blood --- this stuff was romantically overwrought 3000 years ago, and I'm not about to disrespect the classics and make it any better.



As to whether this novel will stick to the myth's original ending...stick around and find out ;D
