The winged elder glared annoyingly to elder Bai, but the fully bearded old man elder Bai only smirked back, taking pleasure in antagonizing the winged elder. While the two elders were glaring at each other, elder Long was quite astounded with the results that he was seeing at the young man in the magic circle. "Ohh..?"

This reaction from elder Long got the attention of the other two elders.

Seeing the affinity result of the young man, Lu Ciel, the winged elder got shocked while elder Bai was quite delighted.

"Not bad, kid." Elder Bai appraised. Elder Long nodded in approval. While the expression of the winged elder was solemn.

The only one who was not able to read the room was the young elf. The young elf was showing contempt to the young man upon seeing the result of his affinity. Thus he snorted as he starts to mock Lu Ciel. "Hmpph! You dare compete with me without any Grandmaster rank affinity in you? Who's your little brother now?"

Hearing this, elder Long only shook his head while elder Bai can't help but retort on this ignorant young elf. "Brat, what do you think the important factor to be suitable for becoming a Mage class?"

"Wouldn't that be the affinity with Magic?" The young elf, , answered with full of confidence.

"You're only half right." Elder Bai only shook his head is slight disappointment and eyed Lu Ciel meaningfully right after. "You boy, what do you think the answer should be?"

Lu Ciel being questioned provided his answer right away. "Well the test was to learn the level of one's magic and element affinity then obviously it's these two factors that makes one a qualified Mage. With the Magic affinity, it tells how fast one can cast a spell. While with the element affinity, it tells how effective the casted spell will be, and the more you have affinity with the eight elements of the world, the more flexible your magic can become."

The three elders were surprised with Lu Ciel's answer. Even though the winged elder doesn't like to admit it but the young human in front of him have a deep insight with magic despite not being a Mage class yet.

"Haha!" Elder Bai laughed out loud from the outstanding answer that Lu Ciel told. "Well said, young man! Heh..forgive me young prince, I will have to side with giving the special hunter license to this human. What do you think, elder Long?"

Hearing this, Lu Ciel only humbly smiled as he bowed in fron of elder Bai in gratitude. "Thank you for thinking highly of me, elder."

"Hmmph!" The winged elder snorted as he eyed Lu Ciel contemptously as if an insect. "Though this human somewhat has a talent to be a Mage class, however, comparing his affinity with the prince is like heaven and earth. Elder Bai, you should reflect upon yourself as your judgement has become muddled."

"You dare judge me as muddle-headed?!" Elder Bai growled and smirked right after as his savage aura was oozing out. "Hmmph! Just because you're of a winged-race doesn't mean you can act high and mighty to me. Try me again, we'll see how I'll make buffalo wings out of that wings of yours."

Hearing this, the winged elder's face became unsightly. Though he knew that elder Bai is stronger than him, he still needs to show his disposition as a winged race. "You dare?!"

"Calm down the two of you." Elder Long interjected in the heat between the two. "Please do mind your elder status in front of these kids."

Remembering that there are other people in this place, the anger of the two elders at each other subsided.

Once the two calmed down, elder Long sighed. "Actually you geezers have a point. Though the young elf prince has a higher affinity rank than the human, the human's multiple elemental affinity makes him also very suitable to be a Mage class. Each has its own advantages and disadvantages. Thus, we need to give them both a chance to redeem their qualification for the special hunter license."

Hearing the logical reasoning of elder Long, the two elders started to become rational also as they nodded in agreement to elder Long's suggestion.

"What do you propose for this then?" The winged elder looked inquisitively to elder Long.

"Hmm.." Elder Long started to ponder.

"How about we settle this with a fight?" The young elf suggested as he looked at Lu Ciel in a taunting manner. "That way, we will see who is stronger and more qualified."

"Hoo.." The winged elder looked at the young elf in anticipation. "That's a good idea! What do you think, human?"

With this, elder Bai and elder Long directed their attention to the young human.

Before the winged elder can approve with the young elf's suggestion, Lu Ciel bowed in respect as he replied. "Thank you for the gracious opportunity elders, but, I have to deny this proposal. Though this world is a dog eat dog world where the strong gets to decide, however, the test for this special license does not have to do with being a strong fighter. It only has to do whether the individual's talent is qualified or not, and if qualified, the individual's talent is most compatible with the special license or not."

Hearing this, the three elders got silent as they looked at Lu Ciel in a pondering manner. A long silence passed by which made Lu Ciel felt awkward that made him scratch his head with a follow up to break the silence. "Err..at least that's how I percieved from what I've observed in the test."

"Hehe." Elder Bai can't help but chuckle seeing the unsure expression of the young human. "Well said, kid. So what do you propose?"

"Hmm..." Lu Ciel pondered for a moment as his face brightened and faced elder Bai. "Elder, may I know what is the fastest time that a special hunter license got consolidated by someone?"

"Oh?" Elder Long was able to have an idea what might the young human will propose, thus he's the one who replied. "If we will be talking about the fastest time that was recorded on the history, that would be the legendary Martial King. He was able to consolidate a special hunter license just under five minutes. However, if we will be talking about the fastest time that a special license got consolidate on this event, that would be the young man of Support Class, Han Zou for 11 minutes and 22 seconds."

"Thank you, elder." Lu Ciel bowed in reply as he issued his proposal. "How about this then? Whoever gets to consolidate the special hunter license within 12 minutes shall be, obviously, the winner."

"Tsk." The young elf can't help but to take advantage of this situation to mock Lu Ciel. "Coward!"

"This world is violent enough already, we don't need to add up to it." Lu Ciel spread his arms showing an attitude that the young elf's reasoning is not valid. "Why do you have to resort to violence right away when things can be settled in a rationale way first, little brother?"

"Haha. I like you, kid. Your thinking is much better comparing to the usual youths nowadays." Elder Bai praised as the other two elders eyed the young elf meaningfully.

With this, the young elf's expression became unsightly as he doesn't know how or what to respond to Lu Ciel.

"Thank you for your appreciation, elder Bai." Lu Ciel bowed in respect once more.

'Young prince, I suggest to comply with the proposal of this human. I highly doubt that this human have the talent to consolidate the special license within 12 minutes. You need to be gracious for you to regain the approval of these two elders to you -- they are already starting to be dissatisfied of you.' A telepathic message was sent directly into the young elf's ears from the winged elder. With this, the young elf nodded inwardly as he began to compose himself.

"Alright, I accept the proposal." The young elf responded, and a determined look was showing on his face as he nodded. "However, if there will be no winner on this proposal then we will have to finally settle this with my proposal."

"Do you dare?" The young elf faced Lu Ciel.

Lu Ciel got surprised with the young elf's reaction, and made him smile as he replied, "Well, just like I said, rationale first, if not, then violence after."

The three nodded in agreement as well when the two youths decided to settle this test on their own.

"Since we are going with my proposal, then I offer for you to try and consolidate the special license first." Lu Ciel gestured his offering.

The three elders were astounded with this huge advantage that was being offered by the human. He was like giving up his chance to get the special license in some ways, when you think about it.

"No. No. No." The young elf strongly refused this offer. "I don't want to hear that I only won because you have given me this gracious advantage. Since this is your proposal, then you go first."

Hearing this, the dissatisfaction of elder Long and elder Bai to the young elf began to stop.

"I insist, you are my little brother after all." Lu Ciel denied the young elf's offer.

"No, no, no." The young elf adamantly shook his head. "You first, "big brother"."

Despite the quote and quote gesture that the young elf emphasized, the three elders can't help but weirdly look at the young elf while Lu Ciel can't help but be amused with this. Hence, he teasingly responded, "Well, I'm glad you are able to finally accept me as your big brother, little Vonvon."

"As you say, little brother." Lu Ciel sighed as if he was the tolerating big brother. He faced the three elders and bowed as he requested. "Elders, as my little brother say, allow this child to be the first one to try and consolidate the special license."

The young elf got speechless from the unexpected turn of events. How did he end up being misunderstood despite the clear emphasis of his sarcasm.

The three hesitantly nodded as they were somewhat not sure but to just go with the flow. The winged elder took out an octagon shaped blue crystal and handed it down Lu Ciel. "You may go ahead and try."

Once the crystal was placed on Lu Ciel's hand, a hexagon panel appeared in front of him.

As the system panel appeared in fron of Lu Ciel, obviously, he chose yes. However, after that, a wonderful sensation all over his body as if he was being baptized and being renewed from within.

The feeling did not last long and Lu Ciel wished for it to really last longer, but not everything you asked will be given as what they say. However, the good thing was that, after the wonderful sensation disappeared, the colorless hexagonal system panel appeared with a glowing blue color as it shows his tab.
