A house in the middle of darkness? Not the first thing that you would see in a vast space. Well not empty enough because from where I am right now you would see some sort of nebulas that almost like stars if not for some that looked out of shape. While floating for who knows how long because I already stop counting after a few thousand years. Why and how do I know that? Because I am that bored and I just have a very futuristic clock that told me that.
Anyway, I have been floating around, even when sleeping and what is scary and cool at first is that I still have a body. You know, when there is a suicide bomber at point-blank range, you would think that your body will be torn to pieces.
But alas, you can not even die happy while recollecting that you saw in the news that an experimental substance was stolen from a lab somewhere that is highly unstable like how they describe the god particle in a movie called "angel's and demons". That was a good movie from some perspective for something antique.
Well living in the 22nd century will get boring real fast. Poverty around the world is lower than in the 21st century because almost every country has the same level of technology and knowledge that learning and sharing ideas was easier and advancement in technology is faster. Even the countries that were considered "third world countries" catch up to the others.
Losing a third of the world's population will do that. I know, it was shocking but with the continuous mutation of the virus from the early 21st century, it was like the black plague all over again but worse. They did manage to find a cure for it that even strengthen the rest of the population and gave better immunity to past sickness. We don't even get common colds anymore and genetic disorders were fixed from birth and cancer that were already in its final stages can now be cured for a few months with proper medication.
Life expectancies have increased to 150 by estimates and news of breakthroughs in the space frontier will help us colonize the other planets in our solar system. I was living in a great time.
But none the less, peace is still hard to achieve. Even with the good things that are happening now, there are still some that were so bored out of their mind that making a bomb from experimental energy is fun to do. I kind of understand because when I got bored, I watch movies and anime from the past, read books and novels. My friends recommended some novels that include cultivation that gains immortality or "OP" strength from their description, reincarnations, harem types which I like but with only a few women because even if I was orphaned from a young age, I only want real affection from those who truly love me so I didn't get adopted but finished my studies with the help of multiple scholarships that the government was giving.
That was the side story of my life, now back to that incident. I would have not guessed that I would be there at that moment when a suicide bomber was near me even though I am not saying that he could have picked a better spot to detonate the bomb because from where we were standing, there were only a couple of people near us. He could have picked a very dense spot with crowded people. I thought that it is unstable, would create a huge explosion that will engulf a few blocks.
But I was wrong, because having that kind of property as a bomb(unstable), you wouldn't really know if it would burst tremendously or not even work at all. But it was a good thing that it didn't go off as expected but much worse, not the "worse" that you think, by the way, it just created a freaking BLACK HOLE. I was surprised when that happened in front of me after taking and covering the supposed to be "bomb" from the guy with my body. I might not have been captain America in the making but still, I would do the right thing but maybe covering the bomb with my body is not the first thing that anyone would think of.
How I know that the "bomb" was a black hole even though from some distance you would think that the bomb failed to explode, having your body squeezed in a very tiny hole, not bigger than the head of a pin needle, was excruciatingly painful but I was feeling some kind of energy going through inside my body while that was happening. To me, it probably lasted a few days but to those who might witness it, I disappeared from the spot.
So that was the last memory I know from the earth and it is amazing that I retain those memories after so many millennia.
Back to where I started contemplating, I was sure that I wouldn't see a house? or is it a palace because of how big it was compared to my size. It even has a gate, front lawn, a lawnmower that is still smoking, a foldable seat below a big parasol stuck on the ground, a swimming pool at the right side, and where is that light coming from that the items were casting shadows to the left even though every other place in the vicinity is covered in darkness except those far away nebulas.
Where the heck am I?!
And a man was walking towards me, I would have guessed otherwise if not for the beard on his face but what with the overall celestialsapien look from Ben 10: omniverse?
Then he said...
Hello there!
