DISASTER AFTER THE DATE

*** Mature content.

She wore a red and black mid corset that did not cover her bosom, just the waist, and a lacy see-through panty. She poured the champagne into the glass and walked seductively towards him.

That man was wearing a mask, so she could not see his eyes. But the jaws were clenched, even with the mask she could tell, he had the most sadistic look on his face.

She spread her legs and sat on his lap, swinging her hips, she straddled on him.

"Do you like what you see?" she purred and licked her lips.

Drinking the wine from the glass, she left a red lipstick mark on it. Instead of gulping the liquid, she moved closer to the man.

She kissed him, pouring the liquid directly from her mouth. Few drops rolled down his face from in between their lips, she licked the liquid off his face and kissed his mouth.

"Mmm.." she moaned into the kiss.

Without leaving his mouth, she placed the glass aside and wrapped her hands around his shoulder, and kissed him passionately.

Then, she took one of his hands and placed it on her naked bosom and the other on her hip, still grinding on him.

He traced the lacy panty, cupped, and kneaded her arse cheeks. "Yeah!" she moaned in a whisper.

The very next moment, she found herself lying on the floor.

That man pushed her off him and she landed on her arse.

"You are wasting my time. You don't even know how to seduce a man. Next time, come prepared or don't show your fucking face." He yelled at her and left the room.

The man entered the elevator and pressed the button to go to the ground floor. Before leaving the elevator, he removed his mask and kept it inside his jacket.

She parked her car in the parking lot and put the keys inside her pocket and walked towards the building, not looking. Suddenly, she bumped into a man and immediately apologized.

"Watch where you going?" The man grumbled in a nasty tone.

She stood there balling her fist, trying hard not to punch that man. She sincerely apologized for her mistake, but that bloody arrogant man was being too much. She was as it is in a fucked up mood and such arrogance was too tiring for her to handle. So, she rolled her eyes and wanted to walk away.

------

A woman in sheer night suit stood smoking and looking outside the window, watching everything unfold inside the apartment exactly opposite to her window.

She had the most lustrous eyes and a beautifully crafted lips. Watching that woman on the other window and her nakedness made her feel hot. She wondered what would it feel like, if she could touch that naked perks with her hand, tear off that corset and make love to her.

She was lost in deep thought when she heard someone call her name.

"Monica!"

She turned her gazing eyes towards the voice, standing at the door. Her face lit up as soon as she saw Melody.

She flicked the cigarette bud outside the window, not caring where it landed and rushed toward Melody to hug her.

"Oh, finally.. you came? Where have you been, I missed you so much," she grumbled and complained.

Melody hugged her back and they stayed like that for some time. She let out an exhausted sigh.

"Are you that tired?" Monica inquired, looking at Melody with concern.

"No. Actually, I met an arrogant asshole near the parking." Melody replied disgustedly. " And he was.. exhausting."

Monica snorted. "Oh.. kay".

Monica pulled Melody towards the bed near the window, where she was standing just now, and pushed her down.

Monica hovered over Melody and bent down to kiss her lips.

Melody could smell the cigarette that still lingered in her breath. She licked and rolled her tongue on Melody's lips slowly, kissed sucking and savoring it. Then showered small kisses all over her face.

"Shit! I missed you so much, Melody." She whispered whilst still kissing.

Her kisses trailed down to Melody's neck. Biting and nibbling, Melody twisted her head a little to give her a little access and Monica tasted Melody's sweet skin. She went back to her lips, kissing her passionately. Their tongue wrestled to gain superiority over each other, Monica moaned. Melody held her head and deepened the kiss.

Monica had been missing Melody and after watching that woman displaying her nakedness in that apartment, Monica was feeling turned on a little. Having Melody right below her, after such a long time, she wanted to make most of it.

She unbuttoned Melody's shirt and licked her collar bone, biting it and went back to the lips.

They both had the most perfect lips and when they kissed each other it looked seductively magical.

Melody's hand slid inside her garment and squeezed her bosom and Monica let out a moan into the kiss. Her kisses traced back to her neck and Monica sucked on it hard, sure to leave a mark.

"Damn it, Monica. It's hurting." Melody pushed Monica aside and sat up on the bed.

"What's wrong? Are you ok?" Monica inquired with concern. Something was wrong with Melody and Monica would sense it.

"Nothing. I can't sleep. So, I came to meet you." Melody answered and stretched on the bed again.

She was breathing hard. "Besides.. I don't think, I can do this anymore."

Melody tried her best to enjoy this moment with Monica. They've done this before, but things had changed now or her feelings had always been this way, but nobody knew.  Monica was hurt, but she knew she had no right over Melody. She was well aware, Melody never had feelings for her.

"You called me in the morning and you reached here just now? Where have you been since morning?" Monica stretched down beside her.

Melody completely ignored her question, instead pleaded. "Let me sleep here tonight. Please. "

Monica hugged her tightly without questioning her and they went to sleep.

The weekend flew by in a blink of an eye and on Monday the moment Lyrical woke up, out of habit she reached for her phone from the side table to check in case there is any message from her boss, but there was none.

When she reached the office, as usual, Melody, was already in her cabin.  She decided to pretend as if she had no memory of that night and knocked on the cabin door before stepping inside.

Melody did not even look at her and truth be told Lyrical was not liking it. She was used to seeing the broad smile on Melody's face, as soon as she entered.  Lyrical kept the file, which Melody had asked for, on her desk and waited.

"You can leave," Melody ordered, her voice was hoarse.  But she still didn't spare a glance and Lyrical did not know what to do, so she chose to leave.

When she was about to close the door, she heard a noise. Assuming something must've accidentally dropped, she peeped inside, just in case Melody needs help, only to find a glass was broken. The one that Melody was holding in her hand.

She took out the medical kit from the drawer and rushed towards her, but Melody denied her help. "I'm fine", she lied.  An unknown fear was growing inside her, she was bothered about the way Melody avoided her.

"Melody", she softly called her name and was about to say something, when Melody put a hand between them and stopped her.

"You don't need to say anything.." Melody replied in a stern voice. ".. because I thought about it all weekend. And I think you were right. I totally agree that I am a.. s..slut." she stuttered.

Lyrical wanted to say something, deny everything or at least apologize to her, but Melody further added, "Isn't that's what you were trying to say that evening? Certain words.. that you dread to say out loud, I understand and I'm not afraid to say it. Shameless piece of shit that I am, I don't have to worry about what people think of me," Melody said sardonically.

Lyrical's heart started to pound in her chest. She was not sure, what Melody is trying to do and a pang of guilt engulfed her mind and heart.  She had hurt Melody over and over again.  Melody was smiling at her, but the pain was clearly visible on her face.

Lyrical wanted to speak and she tried her best to.. but words won't come out.

She could feel the tense atmosphere and the wall that Melody was slowly building around her and Lyrical knew it was all her fault, but she felt helpless.

Melody sighed and fiddled with the medical kit, "I won't bother you anymore, don't worry. You may leave."

Lyrical could hear the tremble in Melody's voice. She stood there paralyzed and was unable to move or think.  When Melody could take control of her emotion again and found Lyrical still standing, her anger flared up. "Just get the fu—out. I need to get back to my work." She screeched and hit her injured hand on her desk again.

Blood was still oozing out from her wound because she had not bandaged it yet.  As soon as she hit her hand again, it started to flow freely down on the floor.  Lyrical begged and cried "At least let me bandage it for you." But Melody just kept glaring at her and adamantly refused her help.  "I said out. Now." She bawled and stressed on each word.

Lyrical was petrified by the anger that was sketched on Melody's usually smiling face.

When Melody yelled at her, all the staff members could hear it clearly. They knew something had happened between Melody and Lyrical. And when Lyrical walked out of the cabin, cheerless and color-drained face, they were equally disturbed.  Carol and Mia stood up and watched as Lyrical went slowly up the stairs towards her desk.

Hours turned into days and days turned into a week. It's been seven days since Melody had last spoken to her.  Lyrical tried apologizing, but Melody stopped responding to her unofficial messages. Melody was hardly in office and if she ever came Lyrical was ignored to a point of being invisible.

Lyrical constantly received a cold shoulder from Melody whenever she tried to approach her.

Lyrical regretted every word she said to Melody that evening. She realized her fault and how much she must have hurt Melody, but she was given no chance to atone for her rudeness.

No matter how hard she tried to approach Melody. Consequently, Lyrical had a sinking feeling every night. It bothered her that Melody has become totally indifferent to her and as it slowly dawned on her that Melody was losing her interest in her. Lyrical was clearly not liking the feeling.

On the other end, every night, sleep came with a nightmare, so Melody went to see Monica, or her friend Ed or slept at the office in her cabin. Anywhere, but not in her apartment.

One weekend, Lyrical couldn't stay still, she went directly to Melody's apartment to see her, but Melody was not in there.  She entered the apartment with the spare key that Gisselle had given her. Lyrical thought, maybe Melody was wasted and in deep slumber, therefore, was unable to hear the doorbell. But, Melody was nowhere around the apartment.

However, she did notice that her apartment was a complete mess.  Things were scattered everywhere, towels and bedsheets were mixed together, beer bottles were all over the kitchen and half-eaten meals were kept near the sink.

She opened the window, then slowly cleaned the apartment and that's when she heard someone fidgeting with the key at the door. Lyrical stiffened.  Melody entered the door and as soon as she saw Lyrical, she felt like the wound in her heart was ripped open.

She had been avoiding Lyrical as far as possible. But right now, her mind and her heart cried out and she wanted to hold her. Instead, she grabbed Lyrical's hand and tried to push her out of the door.  As soon as Lyrical apologized, her voice soft and quivering, Melody felt a sting in her heart.

Melody pinned her to the door and looked at her intently, her eyes as cold as ice. But, her heart was burning with desire. She wanted to hold Lyrical in her arms, feel her lips on hers. She moved in closer to her, still with the icy cold look sketched on her face.  Being stared at, made Lyrical unable to look directly in her eyes, she averted her gaze.

"So, you've finally arrived," Melody said smugly. "You know right? You are standing in a slut's den and you've come here at your own wish. I can't be blamed for what happens next." She whispered standing dangerously close.

Lyrical could see the smirk on Melody's face, the lust in her eyes and she felt disgusted. She regretted her decision of coming to this apartment. Moreover, ever thinking of apologizing to Melody.  Her eyes glinted dangerously, she never knew it was possible to hate someone so much.

"Melody. Y-you are a.." Lyrical yelled in anger. "Piece of shit?" Melody concluded. "You know I am. Then what are you doing here?" Melody scoffed.  "I regret, ever associating with you. Let go of me." She yelled loudly.

Melody stood still, not moving. Lyrical pushed her hard and left the apartment. She was sad and disappointed in herself for caring about Melody. She regretted going to her apartment and swore she must never go back there.

But what she didn't know that Melody was equally in bad shape, because all Lyrical saw was the fake smile on her face and assumed that she looked at her lustfully. The truth was far from it.  Lyrical never saw the care and affection that Melody had for her. She was blindsided by her own misconceptions.

As soon as Lyrical left her apartment, Melody broke down helplessly crying till the time she fell asleep from exhaustion. The disgust in Lyrical's eyes reminded her of all those people who never saw the person she really was. And that enraged her every single time. But th same look coming from Lyrical was hurting her heart.

Both of them, by unspoken consent, became silent, each clamping her lips tightly shut as if words that must be suppressed were struggling to break out.

Everyone noticed the awkward silence between them and somehow it made them feel uneasy. They tried talking to Lyrical, but she snapped, "Enough. That woman is insane. And you should get back to work, instead of interfering in my personal business."

As luck would have it, Lyrical received a call from Ms. Yvonne's office that evening, offering her a job with a better salary. The following day she even received an interview call letter.

Lyrical wondered why did she receive a job offer out of nowhere, so she checked with them. It seemed like somebody had recommended her name for this job.  She wanted to call Gisselle, maybe she was the one who recommended her.

Lyrical thanked her lucky stars that Melody was not working from the office, moreover, this job came at the right time and Gisselle came as an angel in her life, who recommended her name for the job.  She called Gisselle and thanked her, but apparently, Gisselle had no idea about this at all.

In fact, she was even more surprised by this sudden turn of events. She said, she'll check with Melody on this, but Lyrical stopped her.  That's when Leia came in and told her what she needed to know, even if she doesn't want to hear.

"Melody had asked me to connect her to Ms. Yvonne's office last week and they have been constantly in touch this whole time. I have no doubt, she was the one who recommended you, but now it's on you to take the offer", and directly walked out from there with disappointed footstep, not before stopping for a moment to ask her, "Will you?" Leia wanted Lyrical to stay with them. They had taken a liking of Lyrical and it would feel sad to watch her leave.

Lyrical did not answer her question. She had no answer to give her, actually.  Leia's eyes filled with tears. "OK. Then we'll miss you." Her gorgeous smile turned sad and Lyrical was the reason behind it.

Not only Melody, Lyrical had hurt her friends also. She had been rude to them with no fault of their own. The anger was directed at Melody, but her friends had to take the brunt.  "Fucking Idiot." Lyrical groaned at herself.  Apart from feeling guilty, she felt burdened with gratitude towards Melody.

Lyrical knocked on her apartment door but received no response. Since the door was open, she peeped in and found Melody sitting inside on the couch, but lost in her thoughts. She walked inside and called her name, but it seemed like Melody had gone deaf.

"Melody. I need to talk to you regarding the job offer I received from Ms. Yvonne's office. Is it true, it was you who recommended my name?" Lyrical's voice was low, yet firm. She was scared to be alone in that apartment with Melody, but wouldn't show it on her face.

But Melody gave no response to her attempts at conversation and didn't even lift her eyes.  Melody continued to sit silently, staring.. at nothing. She might be in trance and perhaps she actually was.

"Are you that desperate to throw me out?" Lyrical scoffed.  That's when she got the desired outcome. Melody finally looked at her. Lyrical noticed the bitterness that was etched on her pain-ridden and tired face.

"Yes." She halfheartedly replied. "We both got what we wanted. You are free, from me."

Lyrical stomped her foot and went towards the door and locked it.  "Neither you nor I am going anywhere, till the time this is sorted. I've had enough now. What makes you think I want to leave? And who the hell gave you the right to decide on my behalf. If I have made any mistake, as my boss you can throw me out. Sorry to say, but that is not the case and you know it."

"Why do you want to work with a person like me? Someone you despise so much?" Melody replied in a whisper. "You are right, you made no mistake, so I can't throw you out. Then, let's say I'm ramping down and I don't need an assistant anymore. How about that? Huh?"  Melody's voice was calm, yet low and had coldness in it.

"Melody!" Lyrical screeched, with annoyance as well as exasperation and balled her fists.

She walked and stood right in front of her and began hitting Melody, crying and whining.

"Why.. Why are you doing this? How many times do I have to apologize, damn it."  Lyrical's legs became so weak that she lost her balance and fell down sobbing.  "You are not even giving me a chance. You don't even look at me, let alone talk to me, and now you want to throw me out."  She sat on her knees and then fell down on her butt. Folding her legs, she cried hugging herself.

Melody scooted and pulled her into her arms, hugging her tightly. She ran her fingers soothingly through her hair.

When Lyrical's cries subsided, Melody released her and they sat facing each other for a while.

She noticed that Lyrical looked gloomy and sad. Melody looked into her eyes and whispered "I'm sorry". But that only made Lyrical start crying again.  "Why do you keep saying sorry? It's me who was rude to you" Lyrical spoke between her sobs.

"It's ok. I won't it take to my heart anymore, but only if you agree to be my friend and trust me." Melody replied hugging her and Lyrical raised her head to look at her. "A li..ttle bit, at least." She added.  They both snorted and laughed like two maniacs.

That would have been the first time.. and for a lot of things. To start with, Lyrical threw away her pride and apologized and also for the first time Melody hugged her tightly, holding her close to never let her go. Something, she wanted to do for a long time. And instead of feeling disgust, Lyrical felt the warmth of her embrace.

They both cried and also laughed together, for the first time.  Last but not the least, they agreed with each other at one point and it was a start of a new ship, their friendship.
