Embarrassment

Wang Jingyuan peeked around the pillar and saw a trio of pupils walking down the path toward the corridor. To avoid being seen—which would have made for an awkward encounter—she silently stood up and leapt up to the roof of the corridor, where she perched like a bird. In the darkening night, the trio didn't see her at all.

"Ha-ha, sucks to be you. Senior Sister Wang came to help us with the garden, but we had to replant everything she planted because she planted them wrong. It was extra work, but at least it didn't cause us physical harm," A second pupil said. Wang Jingyuan's cheeks burned with embarrassment.

"I didn't see Senior Sister Wang all afternoon. I wonder who was unlucky enough to get her help?" The last pupil voiced his thoughts. The other two pupils laughed.

"Senior Sister Wang is a nice person, and I do appreciate her offering to help, but I'd rather she not," the second pupil said. "I don't want any extra work."
