Falling Slowly

Iris couldn't sleep although she was restless. She was facing Hardin, who is now her husband. He's sleeping like a baby, and she wanted to sleep like that. But her mind was occupied by missions and duties. She's not ready for this kind of commitment but since Hardin was there, always supporting her, she just thought that this kind of relationship might work.

Hardin mumbled something in his sleep, and he hugged her tightly. She gently pushed him, and it woke him up.

"Hmm, baby. Sleep." He grumbled and pulled her closer.

"You are too clingy." She mumbled.

He went back to sleep in a snap. She had no choice but to focus on sleeping until she eventually fell asleep.

When morning came, Hardin was the first one to wake up in body pain. He felt his chest has been smacked many times and his face hurts. He pushed away Iris's arms and legs slowly and rushed to the bathroom. He frowned when he saw a black bruise near his left eye and temple.
