Responsibility

A choking sensation could be felt as Errit stared at the damage in the Key dimensions, when the vine was taken care of, he had taken a few moments to go look at what happened afterward.

He got permission from Lisetya to check out the sanctuary, the Crystalline Bird sanctuary was his first stop. He went inside, every tree was covered in graffiti and pictures of genitalia. There were phrases written that he couldn't decipher, they had were written like four letter words and he figured it out. The new Ink Demon was busy covering rocks and then scattering them around to make a bigger large pictograph mosaic on the forest floor. 'All in all, he was rather artistic' Errit commented inside while he stared at the absurd bathroom art that was scribbled everywhere.

When he checked on the graveyard, the vine was flourishing, the once dead looking and dreary scene seemed rather frightening. The sharp vines tore up the ground, displaced the graves and dripped a poison. Errit did his duty and collected some of the Raskovnik poison while he searched the surroundings. 'I bet assassins would love these seeds.'

The Raskovnik were lock picking plants, but Errit never expected something so large and uncontrollable. It was true, they always tried to escape, except in the dark. They loved the dark, the plant would grow uncontrollably in the light and use up all of its stored power. The darkness was much more beneficial for the vine to remain in, conserving its energy.

There were bits of bone laying around, none quite as nice as the golden bones from the Porto de Paulo. There was a magic in them and Errit wanted to try out soil additives on brittle plants, all the loose bone was swept up into a storage ring. He grabbed all the scattered stone and brought it together into a pile. There was no way to know if those who had lost their lives were good or bad but he would never want his grave desecrated, he circled it and laid the rocks out with whatever words existed facing out.

"Rest in peace, may your new lives bring you something you lost in the old one." He said a small prayer, but he didn't know who to pray to. He didn't care, the gesture of laying them to rest had unburdened his mood. He left and checked the progress inside the shop.

Invega had been working hard the entire time, she was buzzing around the shop, sweating profusely. "Oh thank the gods you're here. Please help me! There are so many people."

Errit understood and pointed at four of the customers. "You, you, you and you. What did you come here today for? real quick."

He helped them as fast as he could and then hired the nicest one to handle the door. "Only three people in at a time per auctioneer. Any more than that will be a disaster waiting to happen." Errit handed him a full sack of the herbs he had come for and sign the bloodoath contract so he wouldn't steal or reveal company secrets. "What's your name?"

"Famizen Toneuni, my friends call me Tones or tunes." Toneuni smiled.

"Welcome to the team Toneuni, You should get started. There is a complete inventory workup sheet and price listing on the counter, you only have to do the math." Kink told tunes what to do but realized his error.

"Math?" Tunes looked confused.

Kink's mind went into a freefall, he was stalled, broken, lost. "You really don't know math, damn. Okay, I have another job for you. Contract is still good to use, but you'll be busy later. "Invega, hire five clerks, they have to be able to do math and sign the bloodoath contract. pay is 400CP daily to work the counters." yelling it a bit, the people pushing through the door were eager to apply. Many of the people coming wanted to see what was being sold, a new auction house was something that had never happened.

Invega seemed overwhelmed, Errit swirled his chains and pushed the group out of the door. "Three people per clerk, right now we have one clerk. If you want a job, come here." There was no worry about the betrayal, the bloodoath contract was severe and domineering enough to stop the temptations of others. More than a dozen people who rushed him were looking for work, only three could do simple math and only one of those could identify herbs. "The education in this city is terrible, and this is the Capital?"

With enough clerks to handle six customers at a time, people were a little less annoyed in the line but the depository was just closed, they had no choice other than the black market.

Kink looked for Koesr, there was a pool on the 8th floor that he wanted show him. Koesr was waiting by the water moving the plants around, spacing them out. "What did you want to show me?

Koesr took out a knife and cut his palm, then shoved it into the water. When he pulled it out, his wound was healed. "Did you do this on purpose? or is this just lucky happenstance?"

Kink pulled out a bottle and filled it with the water then studied it with the mask, he zoomed in. "I see a lot of built up aura and other energies in the water but there are bits of the plants in the water too. Its likely because there were so many of the ingredients for healing potions planted here. This water is acting like a giant healing potion, very nice." He filled up fifty more and then took out a ring of elemental water to refill it. "I bet the next batch is stronger." He smirked underneath the hunters mask and went back downstairs.

There were spaces cut into the wall, shelves left by previous tenants in the old building.

Putting the newly acquired potions onto the shelves behind the counter, he started to stock two of each around them. They had seventeen different potions on hand and more than a thousand different herbs and minerals. Bones and monster bits were slim, the value of such items was mostly underrated and without inspecting them for each use they were hard to match to buyers. Most of the time scales, hides organs, teeth and bone were kept in storage or sold to slaughter houses who would then clean the bodies for meat.

Errit didn't feel like making a meat market, he liked steaks but he didn't want to deal with corpses. Then, the thought about the graveyard. He could buy corpses and store the bones to feed the dimensional power. 'Wouldn't that make a ghastly place...' Errit thought about rotting corpses and the bile that would be produced, he remembered the yellow river, Styx.

He shrugged it off and went back to stocking the shelves.

There were an abundance of herbs on display, encased in micro-shields. Courtesy of Lisetya's formation building, the same types of shields that surrounded the building now appeared around the materials on display. Rows and rows of shelves lined the walls and hallway on the first floor.

Customers were not allowed to roam the shop, they were all kept up near the entrance.

Luimei came out of the pocket dimension with Lisetya's help and delivered the ledgers. "Your friend works fast, we have to go see the Chancellor and Inquisitor. Promise day festival is next week. We might have a huge problem on our hands, as Council Members we're also responsible for overseeing such things."
