Downstairs, at the door, Paul saw three policemen waiting for him. Paul knew and remembered the face of all the Policemen in his area, he had met most of them a lot of time also, but the men in front of him did not seem familiar to him, he was sure he had never seen them.

Thinking of something bad, along with a possibility that they would be Vulture's men, he became cautious and signaled Sam to be ready for any suspicious movement among them.

Surprisingly, nothing bad happened. The policemen just asked some routine questions in their missing person investigation. They had a picture of Regina with them, which they showed him and asked if he knew anything about her.

To which he promptly denied. They took his words and did not seem to suspect he had her in the house. That was all they wanted to ask to him and before leaving they also gave him a number and asked him to report her to that number if he ever saw her.
