[SIDE STORY] The First Date

"Good evening, welcome to The Ajanta. Do you have a reservation?" Ignoring Emma's state of dress the man behind the counter welcomed her.

"Table for Samuel Davis?" In return, she smiled and pretended that a small piece of her is not dying inside of her but she did not miss the arch on the receptionist's brow when she told him who she was there to meet.

"Certainly." He called a waiter and asked him to lead. As the waiter led her through the immaculately dressed tables, she banished the dashingly good-looking man that had featured in her daydreams from her mind and replaced him with a more modest guess at who will be waiting for her. If he was to ever arrive.

Soon she was led to the back of the restaurant, which seemed like a secluded section. It was private, or seemingly so, with only a handful of tables. Her drifting eyes closed for a moment before she opened them to look at the guy she was meeting.
