Scanning through the room,
Their pictures were everywhere, They were very beautiful.
It was like a shrine just for them.
"Who is she?" I had to ask.
"She was my wife" he turned his face from me.
Did he say "was"? my heart sank.
"Does he mean she is dead?" I asked out of curiosity.
"Gbimmmm!!!" He punched the wall.
"She died in a car accident, her and our six years' old child" ouch!! I forgot about my pain and could see him in pain.
She was a girl just like you, big dreams. We had our lives all planned out then."
He broke into tears, "sir what happened?" I tried holding his hands to calm him down.
"I became a drunk and this broke her heart, I became rageful" he kept on sobing.
I wished I had a way to make him stop.
"We had a fight and I hit her infront of our child." He took hold of her picture on the table.
"She left with my daughter in sadness to her mom's place but ran into a truck on high speed. It was fatal." He was so heartbroken.
"Now everyone thinks I killed them. My life wasn't the same after they left" He tried wiping off the tears on his face.
Am sure he wanted to encourage me but instead he got more depressed.
I sat with him, as he sat on the floor leaning on the wall. I wanted him to know I felt his pain.
"Sir I understand, but you aren't alone!" I said those words not just by my mouth but with heart.
And I really meant it.

"How about the key?" Don't you want answers!
The Monsters in my head stopped me from moving.
"What if you finally put an answer to all these questions?"
"What if, you aren't guilty for everything?" the monsters in my head kept talking.
And for the first time they made sense.
"Go back, get close to her. Be her puppy and then get the answers you seek!" I stopped at the hallway, as though I was in a crucial meeting.
"But.... " I wanted to make a statement.
"No But, it cut me off. Get your answers and then we end her!" If I wasn't sure, I would say it was Ash that was speaking to me.
After six years one thing was certain, I still didn't know my mother.
******
Who was guilty for the pain, was it fate or mere bad luck?
Pulling the broken hearted is hard but fixing the broken was worst.
He tried to motivate me to be fine but it was clear he was too sad to say anything.
"My dear, I have made mistakes. But don't live in yours." he stood up and walked towards the door.
"Always take a step!"
He signaled me; it was time for us to leave the room.
We walked out of the room and I could feel his strong attachment to it.
Like this feeling of him staying there all his life.
*******
I walked back to her room, this time something changed.
I was tired of asking why.
It is time we got answers and if I had to play the perfect Barbie I would do it.
Memories of painful days came, suddenly flooding my mind.
The pain from the most recent ritual still hurt but this time I have had enough.
"Daisy 2.0" activated, the old me died when I walked out of her.
I got to her door and gave a deep sigh. It was time.
No going back.
*******
"... what do you mean? You didn't see her?" the lady raged at Rakas.
"Boss we followed the bus, but no one was in it." Rakas gave a fearful reply.
"Nonsense! We need her because she would take us to her mother." The lady kept moving around the room.
"But we know where her dad is, why not the father?" Rakas asked why rubbing his gun.
"Keep quiet you fool! How would you go to a big hospital to kidnap someone? And if you had done a good job he won't stil be alive!" She looked really pissed off.
"You know we are behind time, so get her at all cost!" She walked out of the room slamming the door furiously.
Rakas was silent for a while because he didn't know what to tell his men.
"Alright mates, let's find out who owns the bus, I believe we'll get a lead on her." he looked so uneasy.
"Yes boss!" His men chanted in excitement all except one.
"We move tomorrow, so get ready .Blood might be spilled!" he had heightened the moral of his men but deep down one wasn't happy.
But why?
******
She was very silent when I walked in. She looked so quiet like as though nothing had happened.
"I'm sorry Mom!" I had to purge out those words when I actually wanted to be out of there.
"I knew you would come back, you belong to me!" She gave that annoying smirk.
"Yes, I have no where else to go." I walked towards her bed.
"Now go get the doctor my Precious" she patted me on the shoulders.
I gave a very believable smile. I walked out of room to get the doctor but this time I was out for answers.
I walked to look for the doctor, at least, any of them.
I remembered the other one; doctor Micheal but didn't really get the name of the first doctor.
I walked looking so calm, like as though I and my monsters were talking.
Since they have been here for over six years. I guess it's time I lived with them.
I walked with a straight face and there he was, talking to a nurse.
He looked so handsome, his hair so black with a captivating smile.
His broad shoulders made his shirt fit him so well.
Wait, why was I accessing him?
I tried to walk pass him without him noticing. But guess what?
He did!
He hurridly walked towards me, I tried to walk faster but something in me wanted to turn back to him.
"Hey! Daisy!" He called out but this time I shut him out.
It wasn't time to be catching feelings.
"Please stop pursuing me!" I screamed within me.
I started sweating in an air conditioned tight building, "What!" I spoke out but It came out wrongly.
He gave a look of disappointment. "Nothing much! just wanted to know how your mom was."
He turned to where he came from. "I was actually waiting because of you." he turned back and shaked his head.
Ouch! What did I just do!!!
For the first time I cried not because of my mom, but a guy.
I mean a GUY!!!
Have I fallen for Mr Rude, I made a turn trying to ask a nurse nearby for doctor Michael's office.
I cleaned off the tears.
Daisy 2.0 doesn't cry; she makes action.
"Good day ma, I am looking for doctor Micheal's office?" I asked the nurse who was also heading towards me.
"Doctor Micheal? There is no doctor by that name here." She gave that look as though I was mad.
Though it wouldn't be the first time. "He attended to my mom in room 24B"
Of course I know what I am saying, probably she doesn't know him.
"Miss there's no doctor by that name, it is doctor Isaac that takes care of patients in that section" she kept giving that look as though I wasn't ok.
