Defrox, the realm of darkness. Every morning is night and every midnight is when ‘they’ begin the hunt. Until one day, like the break of dawn, a woman brought light upon her arrival. 

A small faint light but was able to pierce the darkness for a moment. That’s when ‘they’ begin to question, “What is this delightful smell?”

It is the smell of a new light, the sacred blood.

Then the chaos began.

Skyla halted in her speech as she gazed into his black orbs glistening in worry. She couldn't help but remember all those events where he saved her even at the cost of his life. She couldn't blame him for doing this behind her back since she never shared any of her mysteries with him or the others.

It is reasonable for them to doubt her since her arrival itself was suspicious.

'So what if he wanted to read my will?' she thought as her mind cleared slowly from the sudden shock she had received from the pixie.

'It's not like he wanted to kill me' she nodded to herself and it wasn't like she was mad at him or anything.

Now that she thinks of it, 'Isn't it better for us to find the truth together?'

When all these thoughts came crashing onto her, one after the other, the unsettlement she felt upon hearing the news slowly deteriorated and calmness spread across her heart and mind.
