Ruth and Ida reached Green's home. As soon as Henry stopped the wagon, both women jumped down and ran into the house.
Thea working for the great Edwin O'Dell was no secret for the neighbourhood and thus, many eyes were prying to get a glimpse of who came to meet the Greens and see if they could get a juicy topic for gossip.
The door was opened by Rees and he seemed not surprised to see Ruth with a worried face, standing at the door. Ida must have informed him through the mind link.
Ruth did not say anything and pushed past him. She saw Mr Green and Mr Welby sitting in the living room. As soon as Mr Green saw Ruth, he stood up.
"Mr Green!" Ruth did not hesitate to hug him and he welcomed her, wrapping his arms around her.
"Is she okay?" Ruth whispered, afraid to hear something bad.
She could not help but think of the times when her mother fell sick. That memory made her shudder in fear.
"She will be alright, dear. Do not panic!" Mr Green assured her.
