Ruth sat on the bed with a deep scowl on her face. The ache between her thighs still bothered her, but the cold-hearted man in front of her didn't care about it at all!
How could he leave her unsatisfied like that in the middle?
Edwin, on the other hand, was still suffering from his decision of stopping in the middle. But he was so angry after knowing about Ruth's heroism that he wanted to punish her, make her realise that she couldn't put herself in danger like that when he was not with her.
His wolf was agitated. Edwin knew what he did was wrong, and he shouldn't have chosen that way to punish Ruth, but that was the first thought that came to his mind. He couldn't bring himself to scold her or hurt her in any other way.
At least in this way, he had a scope of mending his actions... but not so soon!
He walked to the wardrobe and picked a simple cotton gown. Walking back to the bed, he called her, "Come here."
