Mother's Favor

"Call me Sophie. It's a bit uncomfortable for me to hear any honorifics when both of us knew each other for a long time." She picked up the coffees and slide one in front of Friya. Sophie was like a mother figure to her, but she never liked her. Friya should stop considering herself in her.

She got surprised she ordered the large cup. It's expensive. Friya didn't even want to buy something out of her food budget because she's... tightening her money around her purse. Friya doesn't want to lose money in case she needed them.

"Mrs. Sophie, I don't... Sophie. I don't know what to say, but this is a bit luxurious for me." She forgot Sophie doesn't want to call her Mrs. It's a little foreign to her. Sophie placed the silver fork in her saucer and looked up. Friya pursed her lips. There's nothing for her to say unless Sophie wanted to initiate a conversation again.
