Knowing the terrain and the group 1

Our biggest "luck" was that a group knew defense of various branches from Karate to hunting shotguns, clearly in another scenario would have a debate that this is bad and should be left, but because a pack of "Rex" hunt us for this time I would appreciate having a hunter in my team, there would still be no leader as that would look directly to the military body, for aviation was partly a blow because there was also danger in air, water still did not know but it was a yes, it was a Yes.

We lined up and they began to separate us into sub groups to be able to distribute us, each one would have a leader, it could be from a corporal to the captain himself. After that we were registered and tested, it was so fast that it was all over in almost a day, as there was no time to train we would learn as we went along.

An impromptu group was created and we went exploring, I went with a Marine Captain, a Scout troop leader, a climber and a hunter.

As soon as we looked up at the smoke, the Captain, Harry Thompson, said

Captain: all right girls, we only have until sixteen hundred hours just to get back to base and set up campaign, I was clear.

All: yes sir.

Captain: then get off your ass because I'm not going to wait three minutes, I was clear young lady.

Me: yes sir, very clear.

Captain: What is your name? Quickly.

Karla: Karla Morales sir.

Captain: well, since you are the only woman here, you will have to work twice as hard, because I won't have a favorite.

Karla: Understood sir.

For my luck I had a polite clothes although they accepted to give us clothes and not to give weapons to those who were not ready; the situation was critical but not to give weapons to the madness. Although with the Captain I felt that I had no rivalry, he just wanted to encourage me, well... in his own way, but yes. After about an hour the hunter stopped us and said

Hunter: Sir, there is movement over there.

Captain: How close? Hunter.

Hunter: One o'clock sir, I think I said it right.

Captain: Stop saying stupid things if you don't know, although let me see, maybe you hit it.

The hunter introduced himself as Miguel Hernandez and the Captain just chose to call Miguel and me K and H; I just chose to ignore and ask him what he had seen.

Miguel: I don't know what that critter is called, but it has horns.

I got an idea and the Captain described it better than what I said

Me: sir, I can see it, if it is the one I think it is then it is a herbivorous dinosaur.

Captain: you won't come with the stupidity of going to inspect.
