The great Megalodon part 2

We took a sample to the lab and after a quick examination they gave us the green light, the meat was not contaminated and could be consumed, so I decided to approach the shore and wet my face, then I went to drink water and radio my group that we had killed the megalodon and its meat was not contaminated. Seeing it in person lying on the sand was incredible, my body still trembled even knowing that it was more than dead, I felt as if I had seen it in the sea and I was paralyzed by its large size, some asked for permission to see it and take a picture, I just decided to leave the gun in place and return with my equipment.

Alejandro as always tried to take the lead in many things he did, he watched me and said that it was a great catch and that he took the shot, I was really tired so I ignored him and while I was making love to Max I waited for my permission, Alejandro looked at me and when he saw me so quiet he asked me

Alejandro: Are you scared?

Me: Aren't you? As I looked at him I felt like I was in the middle of the sea with deep water and he was staring at me.

Alejandro: -he looks me up and down and says- I was just going to tell you that it's normal, all sharks have that effect... but I don't think it's time to be calm, not all sharks hunt alone, luckily this one does and it was a little easy for us.

I looked at him carefully and didn't say anything, I had the feeling that he just wanted to calm me down, I took a deep breath and nodded to his comment, I was also curious that he hunted alone but I was partly relieved, I took Max to take a rest, I knew that he was more active than me since early in the morning and it was logical that his mission was over and he could relax a little; When they gave me the green light they asked me to rest my eyesight because I had forced it, so I went to the cabin and changed my clothes, shook them to remove the sand and then put them back in the locker.

Already with my routine clothes I felt more comfortable and less tense, they gave me my portion of the meat and I set out to climb the road to go to my base, Alejandro was also waiting for his portion and seeing me on my way to the road I felt that he hurried the pace to follow my rhythm, we walked a stretch together and then he said goodbye to me, to me it seemed something curious but I decided not to think about it.

I went home and put the meat in the fridge already packed, I washed the bag to remove the smell, although on land there were herbivores in the air, sometimes you saw a carnivore and you had to get rid of them. Isaias asked me what had happened; I gave him a summary while I lay down on the couch and then asked how they were doing, he explained that they had managed to get some food still without expiration date, as well as some grains.
