Chapter Fifteen

For a place that seemed so spacious the elevator that she was way too small. Though she was not touching the male all it would take was one jerk or slightest sway of the compartment and they would be.

At least the crass man was keeping his hand to himself and things where quite in the ride. However, she could not help herself but peeked at him from the corner of her eye to watch him. She was embarrassed to see that he was looking at her with an intense burn in his eyes.

Suddenly all she could hear echoing in her head was his warning her that he could not control his imagination. She could not help but wonder what his imagination was playing behind that look. Her face than turned from a normal warm to a full burn, her own mind starting to play out what might be happening in his mind.

She heard Mr. Stoneblack make a noise that sound like a fusion of a growl and a chuckle that caused Ann's body to tighten. His growls always made her body feel like it was squirming from the inside out. But that noise tugged on something that she could not name.

She hated the way he made her body react with a sound or a look, goddess if she ever allowed him to touch her. Ann was sure she would be lost. Her thoughts were stopped as Mr. Black leaned over her in the small space, causing Ann to back against the steel wall beside her. The cold metal chilling her heated body. "What were you think of miss nurse?" He questioned; Ann swallowed the male's eyes falling to her neck as if watching her anxiety flow down her throat into her stomach.

Luckily the door slowly slid open giving Ann an escape route. Once she took with gusto. In the hall Ann took a deep breath, putting a hand on her chest with her back to him. She could feel him walking up to her as she cooled her face. She could feel his eyes and presences on her back. Once he was only a few steps away he spoke again. "What where you think about dear Annalya?" He asked his breath hitting her neck make her gasp.

Hearing him nearly purr her full name followed by a silent soft growl pulled her very core so tight she had to swallow a moan. He had literally almost made her moan just by saying her name. She needed to be away from him. Before she forgot that he was just trying to use her and play with her. He was not serious it was all an act. A very convincing act but an act all the same.

But it was so easy to believe him with how much her mind and body reacted to him. Ann took a deep breath once she was sure that her face was back to its normal color. Turning around she faced him, trying not to react, finding his face very close to hers. "I was thinking about being away from you as soon as possible."

Mr. Stoneblack smirked, "Lair," he whispered into her ear before standing to walk down the hall for her to follow. She knew he would know she was lying. Were senses be damned, but she would never admit what she was actually thinking

She took another moment before following him making sure to stay at least four steps behind him. He didn't seem to mind as he simply kept walking. Ann took the opportunity of their silent walk to look at her new surroundings to distract herself from her guide.

The walls were painted a soft cream color with brass frames filled with dreamy landscapes and colorful abstracts. She had never seen pieces like that before. She wondered if they were all originals or just lesser-known recreations from artist she didn't know about.

Doc had promised her history and culture and looking at the beautiful and carefully crafted artwork she would say that at least her mentor was not tricking her about that.

Ann noted that a lot of the doors they passed were painted white while others were left with raw wood of all different kinds. How such a crass male lived in such a refined place simply did not compute in Ann mind.

Mr. Stoneblack had also made a promise of a library on this level she wondered if it would be like the library from a fairy tale movie. It would be wonderful if it was because she could just imagine herself turning and dancing through such a place.

While lost in her pleasant daydream Ann failed to notice that her guide had stopped moving. Causing her to crash into his back.

Mr. Stoneblack moved much to smoothly and quickly for a male of his size as he turned wrapping his arms around her body. Ann had to almost physically fight herself to stop from relaxing in his arms. Nothing had ever felt so right even better than having only one of his arms around her. His arms wrapped around her so tightly, felt so warm. The hard muscles felt so safe Ann moved her hands to his chest surprised feeling his unsteady heart again her palms. Her eyes moved up to look at his in wide surprise.

Those stormy eyes held something that she had never seen, something she could not and dared no name. Just like before all notion of time just disappeared. The moment was broken when the serious look on his face turned to a smirk. "Eager to be in my arms are you."

Ann gave a quick filch before pushing him away shaking her head. "No!" She shouted a little too quickly, feeling her face heat again. "I was just lost in thought, so I didn't notice that we stopped!"

"Oh, are you think of me?" He smirked, leaning forward. Ann bit the inside of her cheek to stop herself from attempting to slap him, as well as to stop herself from asking him to hold her again. "No!" Ann shouted again before looking around. "Are we at my room yet, I am still not happy about being on this floor and not the same floor as the doc."

Mr. .Stoneblack shrugged his shoulders. "It's safer for you up here in case any of the mates get upset." He stepped aside a half step putting about six inches between them. Ann was thankful for that space to clear her head. He showed her a large, polished cherry wood door with swirls and vine carved into the surface. "Right here my love."

Ann bit her lip not looking for this argument again before walking into the room. She did not even turn on the lights. She only took her phone out of her pocket. She turned on the flash before walking through the rooms. Ann was surprised that it seemed to be three or maybe four rooms. It was hard to see in the dark.

Ann then turned, walking back to the entrance to her room where Mr. Stoneblack was staring at her with confusion. "Camera check passed. Now if you'll excuse me." She spoke before closing the door.
