Mixed Emotions

Levi's POV

I was in the middle of a vicious fight with the king of the rogues in the Northern kingdom when I felt it.

It was a wave of some unexplainable emotional outburst. I almost got killed by Darius the rogue king. Luckily, it was momentary and I regained my composure and focused on the task at hand.

Quickly, I dodged Darius's attack and grabbed him by the throat. I hurled him far to the big mahogany tree and he hit the trunk and fell down.

That's all I needed. That momentary dizziness. I phased into my human form and used my super human speed to reach him.

Because of the  pain caused by the impact of my throw, he was also now in human form. I quickly injected him with wolfsbane as I did not want to kill him. I needed him alive to extract all the information regarding the rogue attacks all around the world.  So the wolfsbane would not kill him but it would incapacitate his wolf for a few hours. That would be enough to reach the dungeons and properly restrain him.

I heard the tree creaking and knew it was falling. I hastily pulled Darius and dashed far from there. The moment I caught Darius, his army was  instantly weakened. Some escaped but a great deal was slain and a handful captured.

I asked Gunther the head warrior for the northern kingdom to mind link the others so we could all return to the palace. He is good but I am the best all over. I then assigned Yuri  the head hunter and five other hunters to track the escaped rogues . That done, we embarked on our journey back to the Northern palace.

There were really no victory celebrations as we had also lost a number of warriors. Also at the back of our minds we knew that this wasn't the last we'd be having these attacks. Somehow we all had a feeling that a greater war was brewing.

The king himself wanted to deal with Darius. He said he has methods to torture the truth out of him.

As I retired to my quarters, that feeling of restlessness enveloped me once again. I probed my wolf Lee if he had any idea why. He just grunted and told me we needed to return home as soon as possible.

I presented my plight to the king and I was granted permission seeing as we'd literally captured the culprit. It took me two days to reach the Luminous Pack grounds.

So am here in the hospital room looking at my daughter Summer. Dr Boyce just filled me in on everything. In all honesty, there is no reason why she should still be unconscious. Tina was a sobbing mess the moment I saw her. The fun thing is when she hugged me Lee growled in my head. A clear indication that he was repulsed by her?

"What's happening with you buddy? Why on earth would you growl at our mate like that?"

 I mentally reprimand my wolf.

"Listen to me carefully Levi. There is no more time.

I can see clearly more than you can but I'll wait for you to open your eyes then we can discuss this.

If you trust me, I want you to coax Tina to go home and take Carla and Mia my niece shopping.

Once that done, I want you to come back here  and sit with our daughter and everything will be clear then."

Well riddle me that!! Lee has never been one to be all stern you know. So I take him seriously when he's like this. I have to do as told.

As I take Tina out I feel weird. I feel disconnected. You all know how we werewolves are when it comes to our mates. We are highly possessive, protective and way too attached. Perks of the mate bond. But right now, it's like am with a stranger. What's happening to me.?? Why all these mixed Emotions??

"Do as I say and you'll get some clarity Levi"

My wolf whispers to me.
