An Appearance with a difference

Flynn respected Emma's descion as he sat six feet apart from but it didn't stop him from communicating with her or allow anybody occupy the seats in between them which sets them apart.

"Go! Eagles Go!" The crowd chanted.

"Welcome everybody to the fifth annual inter-school cup, I am Vijay Sharma from Evergreen high and with me is....." The announcer spoke as the crowd cheered loudly.

"I am Silvia Roberts from Bridgegates high, welcome to the finals between standard high and Freesville high to determine which school will take home the cup, Vijay who are you rooting for since Evergreen was kicked out during the qualifiers making it the fourth time your school couldn't make it even to the quarter finals"

"If you would know Evergreen focuses more on studying than sports, that's why we took the cup in the regionals this year but we shouldn't steal the shine from standard and Freesville high they have done tremendous job making it this far" Silvia nodded in agreement. "As for who am rooting for, it has to be standard high they seem very determined to win, especially since their embarrassing defeat last year as for Freesville high they will need luck, they only got this far through the help of their star player who appeared so secure their spot in the finals"

"Talking about Flynn Nile, we just heard he will be sitting this one out, what's your take on this Vijay"

"Well it is expected, when a player becomes the center of attraction and all hopes are rested on his shoulder it is likely he would pull out and put his team in shambles and that is what's happening with the eagles"

"Mmmm..... I am loving the commentary today" she looked at Flynn who was rubbing his chin.

"I can't blame Vijay for what he is saying cause he is right coach put too much weight on my shoulder and am someone who is unreliable"

"Am sure all your female fans from standard high will be wishing you were here"

"Can you blame them? Take a good look at who they are fantasising about" he showed off his puny muscles.

"Yeah they are fantasising about your large muscles and biceps" Emma said sarcastically, Flynn was quick to notice though but he ignored it.

"You rue me" he feign sadness, Emma rolled her eyes at his pitiful acting.

They spoke for a while before the match started began, Flynn still looked at her while she was focused on the match. His attention later moved to a girl who briefly touched him.

"Hello, you must be Flynn am Avery from standard high is that seat taken, me and my girls arrived late so this is the only available seats left"

"Well...." Flynn tried saying but Avery quickly cut him short.

"Thanks dear, girls over here" she called out the girls who stood at a corner pressing their phones like they don't care.

"Why aren't you playing? I came for this match especially to see you" she started a conversation with Flynn but he didn't act like he cared as he looked at Emma who was so into the match she didn't notice Flynn's unwanted guests.

The girls giggled at what they saw on their phone while Avery was still set on speaking with Flynn who was obviously not interested.

Half way through the match Vijay announced after one of the standard high players accidentally pushed Mico. "Oh no, it's seems like Mico Naveen has been injured, this is not a good thing for Freesville high"

The medical team quickly carried him as he wailed in agony. "This might be it for the eagles" Silvia added as they waited on the referee response on the case. The referee pardoned the player.

"What is going on? It was obvious Rochester intentionally pushed Mico but why give him a pardon" Vijay pointed, reasons because he knew the referee was from Bridgegates and Bridgegates was kicked out by Freesville in the semi-final.

Freesville coach substituted Dewey to take on Mico's place, he was already tensed. Minutes after minutes five players for Freesville was already down and the referee was yet to give a red card, everyone sensed foul play, even more as Vijay kept on emphasizing on it.

It was already seventy minutes before another player was down but this time it was a standard high player, Greg who was already with a yellow card in the previous match was now offered a red card.

"The first red card of the day! Silvia what's your take on this"

"Well if I was to be impartial about this, I would say the referee has been unfair throughout the match"

"You do know that the referee is from Bridgegates, doesn't that bother you" Vijay felt the need to point out.

"Of course not, in a match things are to be done fairly, now Freesville will have to carry on with match with just ten players"

"I should add that the scores are 0-0".

"Flynn you should go your team needs you" Avery said. Flynn still didn't utter a word.

"Emma!" He called her attention.

"What"

"Should I go save my team like a real hero" he winked at her. The girls beside him responded instead of Emma as they were screaming.

"You truly are egoistic" Flynn didn't stop himself from smiling "It's not necessary, the match might be pathetic but your coach is tactical he just called in someone" Emma said as her attention moved back to the match, Flynn was left starstruck as he watched the new call up.

"Isn't that Eric Vice, Flynn's cousin, gosh he is so sexy" which made Vijay clear his throat seeing how she was ready to jump out of her seat to hug him. Flynn watched in anger as he stormed out of the arena, this got Emma's attention as she followed him.

The match ended with Standard high taking home the Cup but who cared, everyone couldn't get over Eric's entrance, who would? The dude is hot! Avery who was clinging on to Flynn was the first to meet Eric after the match. Things are about getting interesting.
