Time Stops

In the late hours on Saturday Freesville party goers, party nerds, party geeks and lest we forget party crashers all troop in to attend one of the greatest Saturday party thrown after a tiring school week.

It is the greatest in the sense that you need an access code to join in the celebration. There are vast varieties of students present.

The first hour hasn't gone and four students were already drunk and puking all over the place, good thing they hired service for those who can't handle their alcohol properly.

Greg and Dewey were seen talking, Dewey already seemed angry at Greg persistence and just wanted to walk, each time he tries walking away Greg follows him.

Whatever they might have been talking about must have been really serious cause now eyes were on them.

"Stop this! Man" Dewey tries to corner his way out of the peering eyes.

"If you are not going to talk, I am going to tell everybody that you know who you know" Greg threatened.

"Greg! Wtf is wrong with you? I told you I can't tell you for the sake of my life and yours, if this gets out I will not be safe" Dewey voice was low even with the loud music playing.

"Aren't you being selfish? You are caring about your life ending while hundred of students life are about to be destroyed" Greg said, trying to make a convincing statement.

"You are truly psycho.... You want this so you can have a sweet spot on the MILFs, now you are saying gibberish". Dewey made an attempt to leave but was stopped by Greg's next action after seeing the MILFs.

Greg ran to the DJ stand and collected a microphone, as if knowing what he was about to do Dewey looked throughout the room for an exit, he eventually found it but couldn't get out because of the growing numbers that filled the room to listen to Greg.

This bold move by Greg pulled the attention of the MILFs and their girlfriends, Dewey prayed to God for a miracle, he didn't know why he attend this party in the first place, he should never had trusted Greg.

"Everyone Listen! We all know the Overseer has the habit of revealing secrets that is none of his or her business right" Greg started off, the turn out of people interested were massive.

"I have someone who knows who the so called Overseer is" Greg revealed, which gave everybody an electrifying shock of their life, they were in awe.

"There he is...." Greg pointed at Dewey's direction, the stage light followed and rested on Dewey.

The sudden rush to leave the glaring eyes of hungry Overseer seekers, the pressure rising on Dewey's shoulders, his heart beating rapidly, sweats building up, it felt like he wanted to collapse there but that won't do, he will still be interrogated when he wakes up, he had to leave now!.

Dewey knocks over a few glasses as he swam his way out of the suffocating room, no matter how fast he ran he was still chased after, until he could no longer run.

The shock on everyone's faces, the betrayal of a friend who now watches, a lifeless body laid on the ground in a pool of blood, the perpetrator sped fast to avoid any further occurrences. Time had stopped.

Faint cry for help was heard, a friend laid on his body weeping hoping he returns, ambulance arrived but nothing could be done other than take away the body, after all they've done everything medically possible but no response, taking the body to the morgue was what's left.

Seeing his body taken away in a body bag, Greg knelt down as if to pray that a glimmer of hope shines on them.

Time was going nothing has happened, his hands was slowing turning cold, the cry and fright in their eyes, someone they never knew but was okay feel remorse.

"Are you his friend?" The police asked Greg who was already filled with tears and couldn't respond.

"He is a friend of mine" Levi answered in Greg's place.

"Do you mind..." The sudden interference by the paramedic to have a word with the officer.

"It was a good thing he moved his hands before we closed bag, the boy is breathing but we will have to take him to the hospital for further treatment, his leg is badly damaged" the paramedic informed, even he was delighted.

The smile on their faces there was hope after all. Greg was the most happiest, not so happy.

Dewey's parents hurried out of the car, his dad shaving cream was still on his face, his mom wore two different pair of slipper on her foot.

The sound of the ambulance blared loudly before It stopped, the paramedics hastened up their feets as they pulled Dewey out on the bed, an oxygen mask on his face helping him to breathe. Dewey's mom followed along so she could see her son, her only son.

Dewey's parents had already been briefed on their sons accident on their way here, the news came as a nightmare, they never saw it coming.

Concerned students including the MILFs were present to offer their support, all this could have been avoided, if only.

The sigh of regret.

For the past twelve hours the surgery was still ongoing, by this time more students had already trooped in to offer their support, even the principal has found his way to the scene.

The hospital was generous enough to offer blankets and food to the students that waited and camped there, of course they had to with the ridiculous taxes they pay.

Hours later, the doctor came out of the surgery room extremely exhausted, Dewey's mom rushed to her. "How is my son?" She asked her eyes red, she'd been crying since she came to the hospital.

"....... I'm sorry......" The doctor bowed her head and walked away. Dewey's mom collapsed to the ground in tears, others held her to calm down but she couldn't.
