The Other Woman!

The next morning, as soon as I woke up I quickly prepared and rushed over to see Monty. He usually passes by my chambers before meeting Julien in the morning so it was my turn to greet him first.

"Good morning!" I happily greeted my chambermaids who were waiting outside of my room, they'd clean it after I left. I need to be out of my room when they clean because it becomes dusty and I don't really like dust.

"Good morning, Your Highness!" they bowed their heads and went in as I walked down the hall towards the stairs

"Good morning!" I saw Julien sitting alone at the dining table, most of the times he's either with me or Monty when he's inside the castle but he also likes to be alone when we're not around

"Good morning" he gracefully exclaimed, smiling as he looked up from reading the day's newspaper as if there wasn't any tension between us yesterday in the library "Would you like to have breakfast sis?"

"Sure, brother. Where's mom and auntie?" I quietly asked, the castle staff was stationed far from us, they knew how to distant themselves in order to give us personal space

"They had a few personal errands to attend to this morning" he said as he lift up a hand gesturing the attendant to come closer "Kindly, serve the princess her breakfast"

"Yes, Your Majesty" the tall young man bowed his head to both of us as he came closer and bowed again as he left to fetch breakfast

Unlike dinner where we all get to eat the same meal at the same time, breakfast was more of a personal dietary necessity. It was different based on the health of each individual

Julien's breakfast mostly consists of heavy hearty meals to serve his busy day moving around the castle and attending to people's needs; eggs, bread, meat or chicken and vegetables and fruits with an occasional plate of pasties. On the other hand, mine was light; this includes oats or cereal topped with sweet fruits and milk served with various vegetable juice

"I like your dress sis, it looks fabulous!" Julien complimented my dress as I walked closer to sit beside him

"Really? You think Monty will like it?" I said twirling around in front of him to showing off my white short sleeve flowy dress with floral watercolor prints, the flowers were in pastel colors of blue and pink mostly dominating its white background, stemming from the right side and spreading like a beautiful painting

"Always dressing up for Monty, sis?" Julien remarked "Be careful though, a lot of eyes are beginning to focus on us" he said cautiously but I was too happy to take him seriously

"It's just Monty, brother. Don't worry nothing will happen"I said happily dismissing his worries

"Just be careful okay, sis?" he simply answered

After a few minutes, breakfast was served leaving us alone again

"I heard the Captain's moving back to his chambers to rest today" Julien said breaking the silence

"Yes, that's why I woke up early" I said as I took a spoon and shoved it inside my mouth, today's juice was green and looked too healthy. Mostly I'll just take a sip of it but I need the strength to help him so I put on the courage to drink the entire glass with my eyes closed

"You look more determined than usual today" Julien chuckled, seeing me struggle to drink every last drop of the thick, green, yucky looking substance and it tasted worse than it looked!

"Gah!" I exclaimed as I put down the empty glass on the table, frowning from the horrible taste "You should try it sometime, brother" I teased

"I'm good sis! Seeing you drink it is enough to make me full, hahahaha!" he began laughing "Your face said everything"

"You're such a child!" I blurted out and took the last bite of oatmeal from my spoon, placed the silver spoon next to the bowl full of force then quickly stood up and darted my way towards the infirmary "Gotta go, see you later!"

"Don't run!" he shouted back but I was already out of the back door

"I wish I can be as careless as you" with a sad tone Julien had unconsciously mumbled to himself

I ran all the way to see Monty, he would have already been bought breakfast as I called the kitchen before leaving my room

Getting closer to the infirmary, I stopped myself a couple of steps from the door to take a few deep breaths and to compose myself before seeing him, all he has seen me doing was panting and running around ever since we got back

I slowly took a step forward after calming myself down then another and another until I reached it's open doors. Peering inside I saw the empty bed where Monty lay last night, confused I entered the room to see a tall slim figure of a woman facing the other end of the infirmary. She had long straight black hair that covered most of her back up until her hips, she was also wearing a white dress and white flat shoes.

"Your Highness! Good morning!" the physician came in at the other entrance holding Monty's arm for support

I hurriedly ran over to them to help with assisting Monty, bumping into the tall woman I saw earlier

"Oh, I'm sorry." her voice was sweet but fragile, her hair was covering her face as she bowed her head in forgiveness

I swiftly took Monty's arm "Good morning Doctor Davis! Good morning, Captain" I greeted them cheerfully, ignoring the woman who bumped into me

Monty smiled at me as I took his arm "Good morning, Your Highness" he said quietly but I could sense the sweetness that he hid in them

"We were' just outside to greet the sun, I thought the Captain would want some fresh air before going back to his chambers" he old man explained "I see that you've met my daughter, Your Highness" he added as we reached the bed and Monty gently sat on it; the woman just followed us from behind "Emilia, this is the Princess" he started to introduce us, I just gave her a simple nod

"It's nice to finally meet you, Your Highness'' she bowed her head in respect as she spoke. She looked very elegant and seeing her face for the first time didn't amused me

She had a small cute face, blue eyes just like her father's, her nose was slightly better than mine and her lips were slim and naturally pink, she had a pale complexion just like her mother's. She was gorgeous and that wasn't good at all

"I had already spoken with the King, Your Highness. She will be staying here to aid me in helping the Captain fully recover" he said sitting down on a chair at the foot of the bed

So he's staying here with Monty, that was all I could think of and glancing at her again I noticed she was wearing a white hospital gown for physician assistants. She smiled at me brightly then she looked at Monty "It'll be my honor to serve you, sir" she said bowing to him
