Dimensional Loop

Feng Hei Lang whipped around, but saw nothing behind her. She frowned. 'Did I mishear something? That's impossible...It sounded like something fell.'

She quickly stood up and walked down some more aisle, constantly on alert. Feng Hei Lang heard something dropping behind her once more, but when she turned around, there was nothing there.

She shivered a bit. 'This is spooky...' Feng Hei Lang kept walking straight down the aisle, but it seemed as if it was never ending. She stopped and looked around. 'Have I been here before? What is going on?'

Feng Hei Lang placed a spare dagger from her cloak onto the ground. She kept walking in a straight line, but a few moments later, she saw her dagger once more. 'This IS a loop! Someone has me trapped in a dimensional loop!'

She tried to break out of the aisle by running sideways, but it simply brought her back to where she was before. Feng Hei Lang hit the ground. 'God damn it! I hate loops!'

She tried to telepathically communicate to Xing, but there was no response. Feng Hei Lang took a few deep breaths. 'It's alright...calm down. This loop might be just here as a security measure if anyone came looking.'

She tried to use [Shadow Manipulation] to travel to a different shadow, but it brought her back to where she was right now.

Feng Hei Lang hissed in annoyance and used [Appraisal] at the place around her.

[Dimensional Loop]

She wanted to hit the system. 'I KNOW THAT! Tell me something better! I can't place it to the archive and analyze the array because I can't see the rune!' Feng Hei Lang sighed and sat down on the ground. 'There's surely a way out of this...Maybe I should check all the boxes in my aisle that I can reach.'

She started opening every cardboard box, trying to see what is inside. After a few hours, she collapsed back onto the ground.

Most of the boxes were empty, except for a few. Feng Hei Lang found a mini knife and a rope. She frowned. 'They were probably put here for a reason. Come to think of it...I haven't tried climbing over the side aisles. What if I can escape by going up?'

She tied the rope to the mini knife and then threw it up, latching it between a metal bar and a few boxes. Feng Hei Lang yanked on it a few times, making sure it was steady.

She let out a long breath and looked up. 'Here goes nothing...' Feng Hei Lang started climbing up the side, using the rope as a safety measure. She didn't think it would support her weight when she was in human form, so she shifted back into fox form.

That way, she was lighter and also smaller. Feng Hei Lang leapt from shelf to shelf on the side, being careful if there were any traps and such. She then took a large leap and then reached the top of the shelf.

Feng Hei Lang looked down and felt dizzy from the height. She shifted back to human form and clenched her hand together. 'Alright! I made it up before getting teleported back! Maybe going up is the way to escape this loop!'

Right when she said that and stood up, Feng Hei Lang was instantly teleported back to the ground. She gaped. 'ARE YOU SERIOUS?! I SPENT ALL THAT TIME! GOING UP! AND NOW I'M BACK!'

She annoyedly sat back on the ground once more. The rope and small knife was back in her hand once more. 'That happened because I shifted to human form...maybe there's a height limit and such?'

Feng Hei Lang shifted back into fox form and took time climbing up the shelf once more. After around half an hour, she made made up. This time, instead of shifting to human form, she simply stayed as a fox and looked down.

Now, she was between two aisles. One had the dagger she placed on the ground, and the other didn't. Feng Hei Lang grinned. 'That must be the exit!' She was about to jump down when she froze. 'Wait...unless this is an illusion. What if when you make it up here, there's another illusion to prevent you from finding the exit? In that case!'

Feng Hei Lang leapt down at the side which her dagger was at. Wind rushed past her as she approached the ground rapidly. 'Shit! I'm going to crash!' However, she simply phased right through the ground and into darkness.

She looked up to see the light disappearing. 'What...I'M SO CONFUSED! WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!'

Feng Hei Lang could tell that she was still falling. She turned around and looked down at the endless darkness. Suddenly, something sharp flew up at her.

She instinctively activated [Slowdown] and narrowly dodged it. It was a flying dagger. Feng Hei Lang flinched from the headache that came after. 'I really need to upgrade my Sense stat! But those daggers are dangerous!'

She could see light rapidly approaching. There was an opening, with a net there to catch anyone falling. Feng Hei Lang tucked herself into a ball and braced herself. She fell into the net as it gently caught her, expanding to lighten the impact. She bounced a few times along the white net before she unfurled herself.

Feng Hei Lang looked around to see that she was in a white room. She quickly shifted back to human form and got off the net. The room was empty, except for a huddled figure in the corner. She ran to it, to see that it was Kirei.

She shook him. "Kirei! Wake up!" He shuddered a bit as he opened his eyes slightly. "Hei Lang...?"

Feng Hei Lang nodded. "Yeah, I'll get you out of here!" She quickly used [Shadow Manipulation] to place him into her shadow. She could do that since Xing was currently not within her shadow.

She stood up and looked around the room. "Now...how do I get out of here?"

Hello Hello! While awaiting new chapters, please check out my friend's book:

Reincarnated as the Female Lead! By StarryMoon_09

Would appreciate it if you check it out~ Here's the blurb:

Kaie Yami has been an assassin all her life. Merciless, cold, and slightly sadistic. During one of her missions, she suddenly died, and found herself laying in a soft comfortable bed. Kaie Yami had reincarnated as Lucille Feyrer, the lead in a popular novel. She was supposedly the nicest person anyone could come across...a complete opposite of Kaie.

In the novel, Lucille was supposed to tolerate people being unfair and biased to her, as she was very naive. In the end, the male lead, the prince would save her and take her as his wife.

Like a classic novel, the prince would come in the save the lady. However, Kaie had no intention of sitting tight and follow the novel. In the sequel of the series, the prince was actually quite corrupted and killed off Lucille later.

Kaie is determined to change her fate and find the perfect man for herself.

Thank you! :)
