Ship Anchor

Shark Terrorizer!

This title not only allowed Ye Jun to gain an extra 10 percent EXP after hunting sharks but also allowed him to exude a natural suppressive aura on the shark species.

It seemed that Ye Jun was destined to become a shark hunter in the future.

He dissected the sharks and cleaned them.

All the shark blood was collected in barrels, and one barrel was poured over the Strange Blood Tree, while the shark guts were left in barrels to be kept as bait.

Ye Jun cut off the fins again to dry.

As for the shark meat, it didn't taste good so it was all put up to the trading channel.

Ye jun didn't like the taste of shark meat, but for the vast majority of players, it was a quality source of protein.

All the shark meat was snatched up as soon as they hit the shelves in the trading channel for a large amount of water, wood, and copper coins.

"Almighty Ye has killed six more sharks! Impressive!"

"Almighty Ye kills sharks as easily as eating and drinking water. I've never even killed a rabbit!"

The other players had almost become numb to this. One by one, they replied below the trading post with an "Almighty Ye is impressive!"

The cursing, whining, and jealous replies under the first few posts had completely disappeared.

The game had been going on for so long that the players who just complained all day had long since been eliminated.

The players who survived this far, regardless of how proactive they were, at least recognized reality.

Seeing that it was noon, after fighting with the sharks for most of the morning, Ye Jun was quite exhausted and started cooking.

Cutting off the most tender and fatty part of the tuna, Ye Jun took a bite of it.

"Bah!"

The expression "melt in your mouth" and it being tender and smooth… was all bullsh*t.

The overwhelming fishy taste quickly blanked Ye Jun's mind the moment it entered his mouth. He couldn't even speak for a while.

He just wasn't used to it!

The old ancestors worked so hard to find so many seasonings, what a shame it was that people were eating food raw.

Ye Jun poured out the molten iron ore to cool, set up a large pot on the fireplace, and began to stew the fish.

This time, he added lots of seasoning!

And lots of chilies

Ye Jun spent a lot of money to buy some peppers at the in-game store.

It was too expensive, 30 copper coins a catty. Not many people in the world would be willing to buy it.

He had to grow some of his own!

Wild game was gamey so it couldn't be separated from heavy seasoning.

Sure enough, fish soup still smelled the best!

Ye Jun turned and went to the bilge to pluck a large handful of bean sprouts.

The bean sprouts had sprouted, and though it was not long, they were still edible.

Dipping it in the fish soup made it delicious…

Too bad conditions didn't allow for it, or else a poached sliced fish in hot chili oil would be great…

Having eaten and drunk enough, Ye Jun peeled a banana that he had just traded shark meat for and cracked open a fresh coconut.

To live well, one couldn't live without fruits after meals.

He continued fishing.

Ye Jun hung the shark's entrails outside the deck, tethered with a rope so that it just barely sank into the water.

He was relying on the bloody smell of shark guts to attract carnivorous fish.

Ye Jun hoped it would be best to draw in sharks.

Currently, there was still more EXP to gain by hunting sharks.

A few more shark kills and he could rise in Hunter level again.

All afternoon, however, no sharks came.

It was reasonable; as the overlords of the ocean, sharks weren't densely populated.

Still, Ye Jun had caught quite a few fish, including a few tuna, each of which exceeded 200 catties.

These fish had not only brought Ye Jun several hundred catties of fish meat but also gave Ye Jun over 30 EXP. He was less than 70 EXP points short of leveling up.

At this rate, even if he couldn't attract sharks tomorrow, just fishing normally had a chance to bring his Hunter level up to six.

Seeing that it was getting late, Ye Jun reeled in his fishing rod.

Ye Jun checked everywhere before going to sleep.

He found that the Strange Blood Tree had sucked up the blood again.

A Bloodline Fruit was once again bore on the branch, but it was still small and unripe.

Ye Jun noticed that there was also a change in the Strange Soil.

Yesterday, the Strange Soil contained a large number of crystalline particles in addition to the black clay.

But now, the crystalline particles had decreased by one-tenth.

Ye Jun reckoned that the secret to the Strange Soil's ability to accelerate growth was in these crystalline particles.

Unfortunately, there was no test to know exactly what the crystalline particles were and what its components were.

Ye Jun poured another bucket of blood onto the Strange Blood Tree before returning to the cabin to sleep.

Early the next morning, Ye Jun came over to the Strange Blood Tree.

Unsurprisingly, the Bloodline Fruit had ripened.

Ye Jun was excited.

The scene of Yang Tianxing's awakening of the Barbarian Blood was still vivid in his mind.

What special bloodline would he awaken?

Ye Jun didn't hesitate to pick the Bloodline Fruit and swallow it in one bite.

A warm sensation exploded in his belly!

Unexpectedly…

The hot current came and went away quickly.

Ye Jun was all ready to fight the pain, but hadn't expected that nothing would happen!

"That's it?"

Ye Jun recalled carefully, his abdominal muscles seemed to have hardened slightly when that hot current had erupted in his abdomen.

Then it went back to normal!

"It didn't work?"

A bit incredulous, Ye Jun opened the attribute panel.

His attributes panel hadn't changed a single bit from yesterday.

A special bloodline now seemed like a lunatic's ravings.

Could it be that he didn't possess a special bloodline?

Ye Jun frowned and thought hard.

Maybe the Bloodline Fruit's level was too low!

After all, this was only the lowest level of the Strange Blood Tree.

'Yes!'

'That must be it!'

'It must be because my bloodline is too advanced!'

Ye Jun nodded seriously.

'All right, let's not think about that. Let's get down to business!'

With the ship built and almost enough iron ingots forged in the last few days, it was time to make an anchor!

Ye Jun reopened the furnace to forge iron.

Ding, ding, dang, dang…

Ye Jun swung his forging hammer and pounded frantically, as if he wanted to pour out all the gloominess in his heart.

The forging hammer seemed extra smooth today.

In one morning, a huge iron anchor took shape.

Ye Jun bolted hemp rope to the iron anchor and hung it over the bow.

With that, a ship anchor was made.

The next time he encountered supplies at the bottom of the sea, he would throw down the anchor to secure the ship to the surface, so that he would never have to worry about the ship drifting away before the supplies were fully scavenged.

Aside from a morning sweat, Ye Jun calmed down.

The Bloodline Fruit was ineffective against Ye Jun, but he didn't stop cultivating it.

If he couldn't use it for himself, he could trade it.

He believed that with Yang Tianxing as a living example, many people would be interested in the Bloodline Fruit, so it wouldn't be a problem to use it to exchange for some rare items.

As for whether or not the Bloodline Fruit would have any effects on those who bought it, that was none of Ye Jun's business.
