Origin Tier Match

Given the stipulations of her match, no matter who she chooses, Elsa was prepared to cause just as much chaotic noise as Asher. She may not have realm jumping prowess like Asher, but she assuredly confident in her abilities to never lose to any Early Stage Origin Tier.

After only a few seconds of scrolling through the list, Elsa's gaze finally stopped on an intriguing foe.

This person was called Roaring Thunder and had quite the reputation that easily surpasses who Asher fought.

His win record was nearly spotless, only suffering a few losses out of 50 matches. 50 matches compared to Firestorm 100 matches may not seem that impressive if one didn't consider their tier realm difference.

However, if you were to take into account that Roaring Thunder fought fifty Early Stage Origin Tier cultivators and only suffered one loss, his prowess could only be described as nightmarish!

The Origin Tier realm is an entirely different ballpark from the Spirit Tier realm. It was far more than just simply reaching a higher level in power.

One's comprehension, battle potential, and skills would experience a tremendous evolution that nobody in the Spirit Tier realm could ever understand.

Considering all of this, Elsa fathoms not even a fellow Peak Early Stage Origin Tier would ever give a single thought about battling Roaring Thunder.

But Elsa, just like Asher, was anything but ordinary. Her confidence was rock solid, never even considering a faint possibility that Roaring Thunder could match up to her prowess.

With a plan formed in her mind, Elsa picked the Roaring Thunder image.

Immediately a white energy glow lit the whole counter, signifying Roaring Thunder was available and accepted the match.

Once again, the Vendor woman trailed her eyes down to see who Else chose and promptly went rigid.

"You….you two…." The Vendor rapidly tossed her eyes between Asher and Elsa, nearly faltering over their bold choices.

While Asher did achieve legendary feats in the Spirit Tier realm, that couldn't possibly spill over the Origin Tier realm, right?

After all, no matter how talented this black-masked girl could possibly be, she wouldn't or rather, shouldn't be able to defeat a Peak Early Stage Origin Tier in just a couple of moves, right?

The Vendor couldn't help but repeat these questions in her mind, just to retain some sort of sense of stability. Still, there was an eerie sinking feeling swirling in the pit of her gut.

Instead of focusing on that sinking feeling, the Vendor woman quickly morphed back to her indifferent expression, gazing only at Elsa now.

"I can only see a pattern within you two choices. But, nevertheless, just follow your Night Badge symbol just as before with the Spirit Tier matches. The same system is in place across all Tier realms."

Wordlessly taking her Night Badge back into her hands, Elsa did notice her symbol appeared in a faint golden light. The Night Badge also had an extra abundance of energy that wasn't present within Asher's Night Badge.

Then, without saying anything more, Elsa and Asher nodded at the Vendor before trailing down the Matches corridor. They both had noticed the Vendor's increasingly shock reaction, but neither chose to comment on it.

They only took note of it because gauging her reactions would give both Asher and Elsa a general feel on how much their fame is spreading.

While walking down the corridor, Asher curiously tilted his head towards Elsa, asking her, "So, what codename did you choose? And who did you pick to fight?"

"Hm~, for my codename, you'll just have to wait to see, won't you?" A sweet, teasing tone laced Elsa's voice.

It was rare to see her actually bite back though Asher supposed he walked right into that one after not revealing his own codename.

Shaking his head at her little tease, Asher still remained silent, prompting Elsa to continue on.

"As for my opponent, I had selected someone named Roaring Thunder. Like his name plainly suggests, he uses the Magical Power of Lightning and is a Peak Early Stage Origin Tier cultivator."

"Lightning, huh…." Asher quietly muttered to himself.

Thinking back on all of his past matches, he never once faced or even saw someone using Lightning. In fact, Asher realized then most of the people he fought mainly just had Fire Magical Power.

Asher's anticipation rises even more for this match, eager to see two different properties of Magical Power in their full potential. But, alongside his eagerness, Asher only felt a small amount of concern on if Elsa could win this match.

"For you, I know this is almost pointless to ask. But, you are confident in your victory, right?"

Asher still asked anyway, believing it's only due form since Elsa carried the same slight concerns when he fought.

And leaking a slight hum of agreement, Elsa told him, "Indeed am I. As a matter of fact, I will be copying your style of battle and end this in a matter of seconds. With how special these matches are, I have no reason to hold back."

Asher readily agreed with Elsa's motive, and they both continue to walk in comfortable silence.

Although, Asher couldn't help but think if Elsa is genuinely ready to kill. Whether or not she actually goes through it, he would support any decision she makes.

….

Compared to the Spirit Tier matches, Asher and Elsa actually had to walk a lengthy distance for the Origin Tier matches.

Eventually, though, they had arrived at their correct symbol corridor, reaching the Origin Tier underground arena.

As Asher and Elsa reached the exit, they had to momentarily pause by the glorious site ahead of them.

"This is…."

"It's quite breathtaking…."

Asher started off, and Elsa finished. Like they both were guessing, the Origin Tier underground arena blows the previous arena out of the water.

This arena was nearly equal to the size of the Late Stage Spirit Tier arena, only being slightly larger in some aspects.

However, the design here was nowhere near similar.

Throughout the entire underground arena, there were brightly crafted emeralds, diamonds, and all other kinds of luminous jewelry decorating the place. Even up by the audience, the materials used there were all at a High-Class level.

And when gazing at the audience members, Asher and Elsa predictably saw it was a full house. Because this underground arena was on a larger scale, so did the amount of people increase.

With such an enormous audience, this would be the first time Elsa felt slight anticipation from showing off to so many people.

In this specific situation, the better she shows off, the better their rewards will be down the line.

"Well then….it's time to step up." Elsa said in a seemingly calm tone, but Asher could pick up a slight hitch in her breath.

Right before Elsa walked off to the center stage, Asher gently laid his hand across her shoulder, giving her a reassuring squeeze.

"You got this. And remember, no matter what you do, I'll support you."

"Fuu~." Elsa didn't give a verbal response, only leaking a slight breath she didn't even realize she was holding in.

Feeling calmer just by Asher's words, Elsa nodded at him and finally began walking towards the center stage.

In just a few steps, Elsa swiftly jumped on stage. And immediately, she heard the bustling of the surrounding audience drill into her ears.

"Just how long has it been since the last Origin Tier match? Far too long!"

"To think we can see an Origin Tier match and also see a newcomer fight!"

Elsa curled her eyebrows, noticing a distinct difference already among the audience.

With Asher's first time fighting, barely anybody was excited at all about him. Some were even expressing slight disdain, believing Dragon Grass could quickly end the match.

But with her first time, the audience reaction brought to light just how valuable Origin Tier cultivators are.

Nobody was even reacting to the fact she's fighting a considerable powerhouse within the Early Stage Origin Tier. Instead, everyone just wanted to see a spectacular fight.

Because of the excited reaction, Elsa already assumed there might be a plethora of bets placed upon her even though nobody knows how strong she is.

"Mn?"

Suddenly, Elsa was broken out of her musing when she felt a chilling wave of Killing Intent attempting to wash over her and intimidate her.

Gazing at the source, seventy feet across from Elsa, was an average height blue masked wearing man.

This man donned simple black clothing, looking the same as any other participants here. However, despite the man's seemingly ordinary looks, his natural aura would be unfathomable to any Spirit Tier cultivators.

This was, of course, Roaring Thunder.

Elsa could detect an impressive enough Magical Aura surging out of Roaring Thunder for sure.

But, with just this….Elsa became even calmer.

As Elsa and Roaring Thunder evenly stared off at each other, neither budging a single inch, another presence jumped onto the stage.

Similar to the Late Stage Spirit Tier fight, a handsome noble-looking man appeared on stage.

Immediately when appearing, everyone's attention gathered on to the announcer. Anticipation surged in the atmosphere as everyone eagerly awaited for the announcer to call the match.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, tonight we have a one-of-a-kind match! The immensely powerful Roaring Thunder against a surprising newcomer Ghost Ice!"

The announcer's booming voice echoed throughout the arena.

"Ghost Ice?....huh…."

While the excitement sky-rocketed, some people couldn't help but recalled a particular previous match.

However, those people quickly pushed that match out of their minds, believing that sort of connection was utterly ridiculous.

"Ghost Ice? Oh, I'm rather touched." Asher mused to himself, feeling slightly amused.

Despite the situation they're in, it was honestly sweet hearing that Elsa combined their Magical Powers.

That sweet gesture nearly made Asher feel half attempted to switch around his codename. But, for now, he focused upon Elsa's match, ready to analyze every single detail of their match.

After a few seconds of a rising tense silence, the announcer crossed his gaze between Elsa and Roaring Thunder before finally saying,

"Begin!"

With his call, the announcer immediately jumped off the stage.

Right then, before anyone could blink, before Roaring Thunder could even think, Elsa immediately made her move. Her hand moved at lightning speeds, ripping through air as an untraceable blur.

'Chi!'

A blinding Ice blue flash burst from Elsa's raised hand as she unleashed her immense Magical Aura that was akin to a catastrophic typhoon!

In an instant, the temperatures plunged faster than a missile, causing suffocating cold air to penetrate all throughout the atmosphere.

"Th-this??"

Everyone in the underground arena, to the surrounding audience, Roaring Thunder and even Asher, they all went entirely rigid. A bone-chilling freezing cold swept through everyone's body, shocking them to their cores.
