Unleashing My Inner Powers

Celestia's POV:

It has been a week since I went to the castle. I have been staying on this cliff, trying hard to feel my inner powers. I trained along with my Fathomless warriors. Ember and Daviana visited me occasionally and encouraged me.

Darius was with me the whole time. He advised me to take a break, but I didn't listen to him. I continued with my training. I clenched my fists, and Golden sparks of light appeared on my palms.

But these are my usual Fae powers. I am trying to unleash my infinite angelic powers. Unfortunately, I am not able to do it.

"Just feel the energy, Celestia," Darius instructed me. " Close your eyes and connect yourself with mother nature. Think of yourself as the source of all the powers."

Everything goes wrong only when I close my eyes. No matter how hard I try to stop myself, I end up picturing Silver Shadow. Why do I keep on picturing him?

"Because I am the answer for all your trouble," said a baritone voice. I started shivering. Is it him?

"Come to me, Celestia. Only I can help you unleash your hidden powers. Together we can rule this realm."

"No," I screamed out.

"Celestia, you are just dreaming. Open your eyes now," Darius screamed.

Then I came back to reality. I opened my eyes and blinked rapidly. Was Silver Shadow here? Or am I just having a premonition again? I looked around me to see if he was really there. But there was no one on the cliff except Darius and me.

"What happened to you?" Darius asked me.

"He came into my vision again. And he told me that only he could help me bring out my inner powers."

His pale face reddened with anger. "Where are you, Silver Shadow?" he roared. " Reveal yourself."

"I don't think he is here. I just heard his voice in my head," I said out anxiously.

Darius frowned at me. " He must be around here. Or else he couldn't talk to you telepathically from a long distance. No Siren has that kind of power."

"But this is not the first time Silver Shadow has appeared in my visions. I think about him all the time. How do you explain this?" I confessed.

I thought that he would get furious at me. But he seemed to be intrigued. He touched my hand and started to read my thoughts. He rarely did this to me as he always respects my privacy.

" This is impossible," he shouted. "Silver Shadow is somehow suppressing your powers and making you weak."

I gasped. All this time, I thought that I was daydreaming about him. Is he suppressing me from using my full potential?

"Let us go to the castle, Celestia. We need to see father immediately. Only he can have a solution for this."

I can't refuse this time. If he is constantly suppressing me, then there is no use in continuing my training.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We both went to the palace in the hopes of meeting my father. But we weren't able to do that. Father has gathered all the High Fae Lords in the court. This was surprising to me as he never assembles everyone in the court without discussing with his son.
Darius and I walked to the courtroom and stood at the entrance. Father Oberon was seated in his golden throne above everyone else. He was wearing his Ivory pearl Crown, which gave him a mighty appearance.
The Fae and Mage Lords were seated in two rows on either side of the room. They were twenty feet away from the King as a matter of showing respect.
Everyone in the courtroom stared at me oddly. I felt extremely awkward as I was still in my warrior clothes. At least Darius was wearing his usual silk grey robe.
"Come in, my children. You both have arrived at the right time," Oberon said to us.
I was a bit relieved that he wasn't mad at us for disappearing so long. Darius and I got on the stage and stood next to the King's throne.
Father Oberon then eyed his subjects and said, " We are gathered here today to find a solution for everything that has happened in the kingdom lately. As you all know, the shadow forces are getting stronger day by day."
A Mage Lord got up from his seat immediately. His name is Arcadia, and he rules the southern regions of the lowlands.
"Your highness, you have no idea what we are going through," he shouted. " The Shadow realm is very close to our lands, and our warriors are obliged to battle the shadow forces every once in a while. We are not able to live in peace."
I never knew that things were this much worse in the lowlands. I was so focused on myself, and I actually forgot that my people are suffering. How can I be so selfish?
"But what about the shield," Darius raised a question. " King Oberon created a shield at the edge of the Celestial realm. How can a powerful shield created by the almighty Oberon's magic be broken?"
Lord Arcadia grunted. " It is because of the Silver Shadow."
I felt elated instantly when he mentioned him. How can he be the reason for all the chaos? Silver Shadow is technically not a demon. Sirens are not a creature of darkness.
" Apparently, you people gave him the moonstone," Lord Arcadia went on. " Now he has given that moonstone to the Demon princess Lilin."
I was confused. Why would Silver Shadow give away the moonstone to her? What is his motive behind this? Then I realized that he doesn't need it. He is already more potent than the rest of us.
Father Oberon was speechless. I don't know why he gets uneasy whenever someone brings up his name. Darius was the one to respond to his remarks.
"Our Fathomless warriors would be sent to the borders. They will take care of the situation," Darius said.
"Your highness, I object to this," he sneered. " I already have warriors in my region. What I need is the Dawn. She is the only person who can handle this."
I froze. How can I tell the Mage Lord that Silver Shadow is suppressing me? I can't tell this out loud and humiliate myself in front of the court.
Father Oberon came to my rescue. " The Dawn has other things to do. As for now, the Fathomless warriors are more than enough to protect your region."
"I object to this, your highness," said another Fae Lord. " The Dawn is our guardian angel, and you can't hide her out from the darkness forever."
Everyone applauded his statement. I glanced at Darius helplessly. He seemed to be lost too. Then I realized something. The Mage Lord Arcadia never said that Silver shadow is attacking them. He just mentioned the Shadow creatures. Fighting the dark creatures is not much of a challenge for me. So I can agree to their demands.
"Silence, please," I finally shouted. " I am the protector of the realm. So I will do my duty and stand on the front lines of the border to battle the Shadow forces."
The whole courtroom cheered for me except Darius and Father Oberon.
