Chapter 1
Max's POV
“Dad I just want to clarify things. I'm leaving house because of work not because of you being together with mom again. Okay? If you want to be happy with her I will not stop you, if your happy I am happy too." Liar. Well it is half true that I am leaving to focus on my job but the main reason why I don't want to live with them is that my Dad being fooled again by my own Mother. Not to be mean or harsh, but I am just telling the truth. It is also painful to know that my Dad is trusting her again and of my mom can make him happy I will not meddle in their relationship. I just can't accept them now, maybe I need more time to accept it.
“What? If it is not because of your mother what is your reason for leaving suddenly? I just don't understand why all of a sudden you want to live in your condo.”
Well, it is really hard to believe my reason because our home is not that far from my work, and also I've been working there for almost a year. It's just that I can't accept the fact that my mother is back after leaving us 18 years ago and now without any further notice she's back? For what? She left us when I was 2 years old and I really don't know the reason why she leave us. She left without any single word said, Dad didn't tell me why and maybe he has no plan on telling me either.
“Dad, please! We already talked about this last night, right? I admit that I am still not comfortable having Mom together in our house, but she is really not the reason why I decided to live in my condo, okay? You know that I got promoted last week, so there is a big possibility that I am getting more and harder paperworks than I have before. Dad, I don't want to be exhausted every single day for working the whole day then I'll drive going home, it will be hard for me. Dad, please! I will go home after I have adjusted from my work. I promise to visit you whenever I got a chance.” Mama just got home 2 weeks ago, but they have been together again last month they are just looking for a chance to tell me, also I got promoted last week so I am now the Officer in Charge of our department, but this job of mine is just a sideline, and I have my main job which I call my Passion.
“Okay, fine but Andrea I am telling you, always know your limitations, and don't put yourself in any trouble you know me very well.”
“Of course Dad, but for Pete's sake I am already a grown up woman.”
“Still, you are and will always be my baby.” He hugged me tightly.
“Thank you Dad. I love you. Okay I'm going to get my things then leave, I might get stuck on the road because of traffic.”
“I love you so much darling! Okay. Tell me when you are going to leave okay? Say goodbye to me first.” I just nod and give him a hug before going to my room.
When I'm done packing all of my things, I made sure that I have no things left even in my vault and hidden cabinets inside my room. Before leaving I made sure to say goodbye to both my parents.
“Dad, I'm leaving.” I hug him once again.
“Okay, baby call me when you got home. Did you bring all those home made food Yaya made for you? Make sure to heat it up before eating. Don't keep on eating in a fast food chain okay? Always drink your water.” My Dad is still the same, he keeps on nagging like a mother, that's why I don't need one.
“Haha! Yes of course dad I will. Thank you for reminding me but I am not a kid anymore to be reminded, okay?”
“Mom, I'm going.” I look to Mama and then give her a peck on her cheeks.
Condo
Hayy!!! I am so tired, I just finished arranging and putting my things into my cabinets.

Mom
“Yes mom?”
“Max, I forgot to give you the things I kept for almost a decade. You got a package, it will arrive in an hour or so. I want you to treasure and keep it okay? Also, I did give you allowance for you to spend, okay?” Who is she to boss me around?
“Why?”
“What do you mean Max?”
“Why? What are those for? For us to be like what we are before? Allowance? Mom, I already have my own work so I don't need allowance anymore. Just so you know.”
“It is not like that Max, I just want to give you what you deserve.”
“I know what I deserve, By the way thank you. You don't have to do such tiring effort. ” I ended the call for me to avoid getting annoyed and sleep.

Who is this again? I'm sleeping damn!
“Hello!”
“Wow! Sis, why so grumpy?”
“Sofia, I'm sleeping and you just wake me up.”
“Oh, I'm sorry I didn't know. Your dad told me you left your house to live in your condo, didn't you?”
“Yeah. If that's why you called I'll hang this up.”
“Wait! I just want to know your plan regarding those thing.”
“We'll talk about that later. Just let me sleep even just for a while, for God's sake!” Why can't she wait? I'll call a meeting later. It is just 6 pm.
When I woke up it's already 8 pm and I am still not eating since lunch. Before putting the food my Dad gave me into the microwave I sent a group message saying "Meeting. 9 pm. Rooftop" I'll just have the meeting in this rooftop of our condo, I’m just too tired to drive. After eating I made sure to fix things needed for this mission and take a bath. I messaged Sofia to tell her that I'll be late for ten minutes.
