Chapter 7 - Wanted
I was happy my bunk mate was not back to the Hostel when I got there. So, I quickly changed into my towel and carried my fancy toilet bag which contained my soap dish, sponge, shower cap, tooth paste, tooth brush and mouth wash. Then I headed to Tolu's corner to wait for her and help her too. She was still in severe pain. I felt really bad for my friend.
Before we knew what was going on, Seniors barged into our Hostel. These ones were putting on the Green Check; they were SSS3 Students. They got to the Hostel door which divided the Hostel into two equal parts; The left and right Wing.
One of the Seniors who made 'shuku' hairstyle screamed with her hands on her chest,
"JESUS is LORD!! Where is Tofunmi Adediji?
I heard Adediji's daughter has come again to this school"
Just then I froze. No! Not again.
Tolu shook beside me but she didn't move. Some of the Seniors had entered the bathroom to see if she was there.
Tolu asked me if she should go. Her voice shook with fear. I didn't know what to say.
"Where is Tofunmi Adediji??!!" She screamed again.
That was when one of the Seniors who had punished her earlier came to check Tolu's corner. Then she pulled her out, making a scene.
"Is it not you they are calling?" She said loudly as the Seniors in Green Check gathered around.
"I'm sorry.. it's just that it's not my name" Tolu said trembling.
"You're mad!!!" The Senior on shuku slapped Tolu. She continued,
"So you're making a fool of me? Ehn?"
She pulled her by the ear to the centre of the Hostel which was the door as other Seniors pushed and slapped her.
"See Resemblance!!!" The girl on shuku said.
Another one whose hair was not fully made laughed,
"Tofunmi get mind oh!!
She really allowed her own Sister come to this school."
"After everything she has done to us in this school!!!" A Senior with a tiny voice screamed angrily.
"We will deal with you ehn.. So that when you go back home to Tofunmi, she will see result and you will tell your goddess of a sister that na we do am" A Senior on glasses said as she slapped Tolu.
The girl on shuku spoke again,
"Tofunmi, your useless sister made my little sister who had Asthma and Chest Pain sleep outside through out the night during harmattan season.
My sister is still in the hospital right now "
Another senior pulled Tolu's ear and twisted it very hard. This senior was really pretty, she had very fine eyes, long hair which she packed and she was light skinned.
She spoke,
"Tofunmi emptied three packets each of my milk and milo, six in total into a bucket of water and she poured it into the gutter all because I was eating when it was time to do labour. Even after I told her that it was because I had to take my drugs.
My parents were having financial issues then and they squeezed out part of their last cash to buy me these provisions because of my ulcer but Tofunmi wasted it. Just because she could.
Even if nobody wants to deal with you, I, Eloho must waste you!!!
Tofunmi must have a taste of her own medicine"
Pain rang in her voice.
Now I was more than scared for Tolu, these Seniors were really pained and they were ready for revenge. But why did they want to visit the sins of Tofunmi on her innocent sister. It didn't make sense to me.
No! They weren't giving Tofunmi a taste of her own medicine, they were giving Tolu a taste of Tofunmi's medicine. That's were they got it very wrong. Tolu wasn't the one that did all these evil things, she was just a sweet innocent girl.
But why on Earth was her sister that wicked? What did people gain from being wicked? Was it fear? Respect? Admiration?
An angry Senior screamed,
"Are you crying??!!!!! Ehn?!!!
Are you crying??!!!!!! Tell me what is making you cry??!!!!
Where were you when Tofunmi broke all our rechargeable lanterns a day to exam?? Ehn??!!!
Where were you when Tofunmi asked us to crawl round this school seven times under one hour and our knees tore and began to bleed??!!!
When she locked the entire school inside one bathroom!! one bathroom!! because it was dirty??!!!
Where were you when she did all these all because she was the Senior Prefect and she had the power to!!!!!
Where were you??!!!!
In your house sleeping comfortably under protection while people's beloved children were being tortured!!!"
She pushed Tolu to the ground and used her two hands to slap her on her back. Tolu was crying more now and Anger and Fear enveloped me.

Tolu came back that night after lights out weeping. I knew that because I waited for her on her bed. At this point I really didn't want to go back to my bunk mate, she was another nightmare.
I helped her change into her night wear, organized her things into her locker and told her goodnight as I sneaked back to my bed. I only wished I could stay longer with her and comfort her.
Luckily, my bunk mate was fast as sleep when I got to the corner so I carefully climbed my bed.
Sleep was far away from me. I really wished that this night mare would end. I wished my Mommy was here to see all these. I couldn't believe this was just the second day. Tears streamed down my cheeks. I missed the safety of my house.
Everyone here was an angry bully.
Who knew what the next day would bring?
