Sunrises

Lang Fai POV

Rushing out of the bedroom, he grabbed the apartment keys, stepping over caution tape the police had wrecked the apartment with.

As soon as he locked the door and stuffed the keys into his jacket pocket, he ran down the several flights of stairs and out of the building.

It was almost dawn, bits of pinkish hues peeking out from the tops of the houses surrounding the apartment building.

Lang Fai shivered a little, staring at the entrance, waiting for Zhang Jun to arrive in his sleek, black car.

He took a deep breath, then exhaled. God did he need that. The sensation of feeling fresh. Not quite fresh, but it was a feeling he just couldn't describe with words.

Finally, the car he was waiting for arrived, gravel crunching beneath its tires, pulling to a stop in front of him.

He opened the passenger door and slid in with ease.

"Let's go."

The man in the driver's seat simply nodded at the comment, hair shining in contrast to the dark clothes he wore.
