The Heart of Ace

I was pumped up. We were going to resort. Jason and I. 


Then at 6 pm we would go to this amazing club few miles away. I could not wait. I wanted to dance. 


I missed my Liz so much. We promised her to take her to shopping right away after reaching college. She deserved it. I was going to buy everything she wanted, so was Jason. She was ours to spoil. And our cheque was huge and heavy to buy her a house. 


Dancing would not be same without her, but beggars cannot be choosers. And I was begging for distraction. 


Mom was going through rules and regulations. Again! 


‘Stay away from vodka, Ace. It is not legal for you to drink.’ 


‘Do not drink and drive, Jason. Get a taxi.’ 


‘I do not care what you do inside the club but be responsible.’ 


‘Wear condoms even if it is just to pee.’ which made no sense at all but we nodded anyways. 


‘Take care of each other. If you are getting killed, drag the other one too.’
