Chapter 7.

Waking up I looked up to a ceiling with bright lighting. Then felt the iv connected to my vein. Looking over I saw Cher in a chair sleep. "Cher. Cher." I called out to her as she woke up. "Oh my god Rein." She said as she quickly walked over to me. "What happened?" I asked confused. "You fainted Rein in the middle of trying to give a beat down." She said about to laugh but caught herself. "I need to get the fuck out of here like now!" I shouted. "No you need to calm your ass down before you pass out again. Like for real Rein." She said with a lot of worry. "Oh my god! I can't be here in the same hospital as my dead fiancé. Please get me out of here." I said wishing she would do what the hell I tell her. "Girl no I can't do that. Listen they ran tests on you while you were out and..." Just as she was about to finish her sentence a nurse was knocking on the door. As she approached she looked at me. "Hello Ms.Larson how are you feeling?" I didn't answer she know how I'm feeling. "Right okay. Dumb question I get it. As your friend said we ran a few test on you while you were out. We discovered something Ms.Larson." She said with a stupid ass smile. Cher then took a seat back in her chair. "What more bad news?" I asked. As if I needed more things to add on to my pain. "In fact no it's very good news so to speak. Your 6 weeks pregnant." She said looking at me in the eyes for my reaction. I couldn't even give her one. My heart broke a million pieces more. A tear ran down my cheek as Cher watched from her seat. "Okay so now I have to check your vitals if that's fine with you." I let her do whatever it was she was going to do. "Okay your blood pressure is through the roof. You'll have to stay for a few days while we monitor you." I just laid there with no life in me as she left the room. Cher cracked a half smile and then stood back up to approach me. "This is crazy I know Rein but it's also a blessing you know." She said trying to be positive. "Or a curse. I have to grow my man baby inside of me without him. Cher you know he always wanted kids. Just please give me space." I asked her. "Okay I respect that. Well Melo parents are still here I'll go tell them your woke." She said leaving. About a hour later I heard another knock at the door. Not even looking it was Ava coming over to me. "Hey Rein. I heard the news. I also heard your blood pressure is a bit high. The more you remain calm the sooner you can get out of here. I want you to know your our family always have been. I'm going to be here for you through everything good and bad. Just please try to take it easy." She said as she walked out the room. Flashbacks of the times Carmelo would hold me at night telling me how we was going to be a family came rushing in my head. Like that one night before he even proposed to me.
