II. Scene one.

“Why didn't y'all tell me about Jamal's contract? How can he decide to be part of that movie even after what he knows about her?” Latif yells towards Mrs. Mehdi and Patricia.

Mrs. Mehdi who is still unaware about Jamal's plan shrugs. She doesn't know why Jamal accepted to be a part of that movie industry.

Also, it's not as if she wants Latif to be with her son but she wants him to be happy. So right now she's scared that her son may get more in trouble by being with Myla.

She can't explain what's happening around her. She sighs and leaves the living room where the two ladies watch her fade away.

Gabriella just comes from the same hall and joins the other ladies. Her brows are knitted as she turns around to see Mrs. Mehdi walking away.

She faces Latif who stares down at her with malevolence.

Patricia smiles towards Latif then steps further. “This is just the beginning. My brother can't be with you even if you claim to be his savoir. Try getting that into your head.”

Latif frowns towards her and Patricia leaves the place.

Gabriella gawks her from head to toe. “I would give up my bad deeds if I were you. Because everything you try doing keeps failing.”

Latif squints her eyes towards her and she turns to leave.

“Jamal will come back for me. Don't thing this is over.”

Gabriella refaces her. “I've always known you've been stupidly brave and stubborn over unreasonable things. But now I think you're just . . . so foolish to come to your senses. Can't you see that you may be experiencing symptoms of madness?”

Latif clenches her Jaws.

“Jamal doesn't love you. He has never loved you by wanting to get married to you. He only did that because his mom wanted him to settle down. But even right now Mrs. Mehdi doesn't give a damn about her son being with you. Because all she wants is for him to be happy. You're all alone Latif. And that's what you don't want to understand.”

“Enough of your blabbering. You think I don't know what you came here for? Well, you're deceiving yourself because Jamal-”

She completes her statement before she does. “Is yours. Yeahhhh bla bla shitty talk. We all know that's what you dream about every night. But even in your dreams the truth will always prevail. And you know what that truth is? Jamal is never going to be with you.”

Latif groans and Gabriella laughs loudly. “Oops. Was that so loud?” she shakes her head and strolls away victoriously.

...

(This isn't the real format of a script but just relate with me on this.)

*The wedded stranger.*

Kim just got married to the son of her dad's business partner. All through the party she peeks at her husband who seems to have his head somewhere else.

Everyone congratulates the couple as they walk towards his car to head into her new home. Her mom walks close to her while her dad discusses something with her husband's dad.

Kim: Mom please don't leave me with this man. He's . . . strange.”

Dianna holds her daughter's arm and hugs her.

Dianna: You can't hide from him forever. He's your husband now. And we already discussed about this remember?

Kim hangs unto her mother's garment until she's in the car.

The groom gets in next to her and her hold on her white gown tightens.

He doesn't even pay attention to her for a second as he takes out his phone. His hands slide in a few text and he looks around agitatedly.

She peeps at him oftentimes but he doesn't show any sign of being interested in her curiosity.

They arrive home and some families, and friends come out to cheer at the gate, welcoming them.

Her husband, Chris rolls his eyes at the crowd and for the first time he looks at her. Their eyes meet and she looks away nervously.

He takes the opportunity to watch her very closely for a long time before the door is opened for him to go out of the car.

When they step out, he holds her hand staring into her eyes sternly and directs her in.

While everyone enjoys the after party, the couples go upstairs to change.

She walks into the bathroom to dress up into a robe that was kept for her on their bed. Yet, he doesn't mind. He changes up quickly and hopes this whole occasion stops so that he can do his business.

Chris: (Screams) I'd be downstairs.

Kim: Ok.

He walks down and meets his dad, the bride's dad with some other men.

Chris' dad: I'm so proud of you son.

His hand is over Chris' shoulder while the other hand holds a glass of wine.

Chris: Proud uhh?

Chris' dad: What? You don't like her?

Chris: I mean . . . She's pretty. And also very innocent. But I'm not interested.

Chris' dad: Common Chris. What can you ever appreciate? Is it the other lady you want? She doesn't fit to be your wife and that's why I choosed Kim. I want the best for you son. Hope you understand this some day.

He does another path over his son's back and the bride's father comes towards them.

Kim's dad: Where's my daughter?

Chris: I left her upstairs.

Kim's dad: If ever something happens to her you'd be dead.

Chris: (Chuckles) Nice threat.

Chris' dad: (Raising his glass) Talking about the bride.

They all dart the gazes to his direction and Kim is decending the stairs. She's in a tight blue gown, exposing her smooth skin and sexy body. A silver high heel adornes her feet. And her hair is also well made.

Her eyes glue with Chris' but he doesn't take his eyes off. She looks away and walks towards her mom and mother-in-law.

Kim's dad: That's my beautiful daughter. So precious.

Chris' dad: And I can already see my son falling her. Just won't forget about the scene just now.

Chris doesn't compliment to any of their compliments. He pours into his mouth all of his wine so that he can dismiss himself to take more.

Once he excuses himself and leaves the men do a tosse and sip on their drink. There is a moment of silence before someone speaks.

Kim's dad: You think this is a good idea for the kids?

Chris' dad: I've never been so sure.

Kim's dad: I've always known I can count on you.

Chris' dad smiles and Kim's dad sips all of his liquor.

A man: I can't believe your daughter got married and you didn't give me an invite.

The two men send him a dreaded look.

Chris' dad: What the-fuck are you doing here?

A man: (Smiles) Calm down Jon. I'm not here for trouble. I just needed to look around. After all she's my niece.

Kim's dad walks closer to him, his hands in a fist. The man sees it and raises his fonts going backwards.

A man: Heyy. Calm down bro. It's me remember. I'm your brother James.

Kim's dad: I don't give a damn. If you don't leave this place I'd make sure to cut your throat off.

Jon hauls Kim's dad behind him.

Chris' dad: I'd take care of this. Don't get to close. People will get suspicious.

Kim's dad obeys but tries to look away in other not to loose control.

Jon: (He shoves his hands into his pockets) You heard him. You better leave before I call my men for you.

James raises his hands. A sign of surrender.

James: No worry. I'd leave. But do remember this is not the way to slide away my offer. We still have a lot to talk about.

Kim's dad: There's nothing we have to talk about. I already told you that before. So keep your offers to yourself.

James: (Sighs) Oh Wayne! You're so stubborn. How many times am I going to tell you this man right here is not to be trusted? You just sold your daughter for money. Do you think she'd never find out?

Wayne: (Grits) You better choose your next words prudently.

Jon: (Calls out) Guards!

James: (Walking back) Not so fast. I'm already gone. But remember what I said bro. Chris is just like his dad and he'd put your daughter into trouble. She's not safe.

Some collaterals come to hold James but he walks away before they do.

Jon: I'm so sorry for that. I should've known that son of a bitch will be here.

Wayne: And that son of a bitch is mom so watch it.

Jon: (Nods) You're right. She's your mom. But maybe he's not your brother. And maybe not his mother either.

Wayne: I should buy that. Besides we have nothing in common.

They chortle a little and Wayne begins to wonder.

Wayne: I've been thinking about what he said. Kim not being safe.

Jon: Forget about that. He was just here to ruin things. . . I accept that Chris is like me. After all I'm his dad. But he's not a . . . criminal. He's just-himself. And I trust that he'd take care of Kim. So bother not.

Wayne: (Sighs) Ok. If you say so.

Chris walks to the older men.

Chris: Wasn't that James I saw both of you talking to earlier?

They two dads look at each other then back at him.

Jon: He was. He started causing a scandal so I told him to leave.

Chris narrows his eyes towards them then smirks.

Chris: (Sarcastically) I understand that you don't like him. But I don't like him too.

Chris sips on his wine, staring at his wife and the old men stare at each other in awe.

“Cut!” Dr. Ed announces.

Everybody applauds.

“This was a nice short. I'm so proud of all of you. The next scene will start after a short break.”

Jamal walks towards Kim. She sees him from a distance coming. She looks at his cloth. He's wearing a tuxedo which looks so perfect on him.

“Hope you don't get me into trouble.” She speaks first once he stops in front of her.

He laughs and takes another moment to admire her.

“I love your costume. This was the perfect choice for you.”

She blushes, her eyes wondering around. “I know right. You look good too.”

He doesn't look surprised but relaxes his tuxedo over his neck to look more handsome.

She sees it and rolls her eyes impulsively. He catches her action so fast and smirks. “I know just when I'd deal with you.”

“Is that a promise. Because I'm dying to watch that happen.”

He Chuckles. “You won't even know when I'd start.”

To be continued...
