I cleared my throat. Damn it. I did a flashback too much! Good thing I stopped – I thought.

I looked at Michele. “My decision is final.” I told him, continuing our conversation. “If you’re against this, you’re free to go back to your kingdom. I’m not saying this because you’re from the West kingdom. I’m saying this as the one to lead the quest. I’ll tell everything to your king when we get back – “ I said.

“You don’t have to.” Michele cut me off, then lowered his head. “I… have to keep my promise to him.” He said.

I smiled and patted his back. “We got your back – not to stab you, but to protect you. So I hope you’ll do the same, too.” I said and patted his shoulder to encourage him, before I went back with the others.

“Yelena!” I heard Phillix called.

I went to them. I saw them looking in the water. “What? What is it? Did you find something?” I asked.

“It’s that.” Phillix answered and pointed to the water.
